Ashnay
Ashnay is a minor location in the Guilty Gear series, appearing in Guilty Gear Judgment. It is the second area in the story mode of the game.
Design
Ashnay is an uninhabited region of Isene, featuring thickly-overgrown forests and a number of ancient ruins alongside a river. The entrance to Raymond's secret lab, where he conducts experiments on the people of Isene, is hidden among the ruins here.[2]
Ashnay is split into four unnamed stages:
- Stage One: A gloomy forest shrouded in fog.
- Stage Two: A path through the forest running alongside a river.
- Stage Three: A raft on the river, floating downstream past a number of ruins.
- Stage Four: The interior of the centermost ruin, filled with plant life. Noel is fought here.
Story
After progressing through Liberia, the player character enters the forests of Ashnay. Finding the forest similarly devoid of people and overrun with Raymond's creations, they decide to explore further.
After traveling through the forest, they come to a river, downstream of which is an ancient ruin, and decide to head towards the ruin in hopes of finding out out more.[3] Once at the ruin, the player encounters and must defeat Noel, a human-monster fusion made by Raymond. After killing Noel, the player character finds that she was guarding the entrance to a passage leading underground. Entering this passage takes the player character to the game's third area, Ksanaka.[4]
