How quick are you...?
Testament during Calamity One[src]

EXE Beast, also spelled Exebeast, is a summon called by Testament, appearing in many of their attacks. First appearing in the original Guilty Gear, EXE Beast has appeared in every game where Testament is playable. A magical creature of unknown origin, it is Testament's demon familiar, alongside Succubus.[1]

Design

EXE Beast appears as a grounded rhinoceros-like head with no eyes and enlarged canine teeth. In X onward, it wears a bolted-on metallic blindfold. In Missing Link, the X, and XX games, it appears as purple whereas in Strive it takes on a more red appearance. It appears and disappears as a pool of blood-like liquid and in Strive, it emerges from within the center of a magic circle.

Abilities

The EXE Beast is summoned to fight while Testament keeps their distance. It tracks onto the opponent's location to attack with a bite from the front, behind, above, or below. Testament's Overdrive, Calamity One, calls forth a massive EXE Beast to bite down on the opponent, launching them high on contact.

Trivia

In a pre-release location test for Guilty Gear X, EXE Beast was a 3-hit attack. This was changed in the final release, as it accidentally gave Testament an 100:0 win rate against Potemkin.[2]
