Design

This stage takes place in a sprawling city that blends busy modern living with traditional spirituality. The rocket-powered buddha statues that fill the sky in the stage's first area are actually mobile office buildings.[1] These were developed by the city's residents through the study of magic, and the area from which they embark and debark is as busy as any airport hub.

The stage's second area takes place in an elevated area of the city, with the city's downtown area visible in the distance and more than a dozen buddha office buildings silhouetted against the sky. Progressing to the third area puts the player in front of an ancient temple; the temple's gate, visible in the background, can only be entered by those with strong spiritual ability.[1]
