Tower of Wind
The Tower of Wind, also referred to as the Wind Tower,[note 1] is a minor location in the Guilty Gear series, appearing in Guilty Gear Judgment. It is the fourth area in the story mode of the game.
Design
The Tower of Wind is an ancient ruin deep in the heart of Isene, built near the site of a gate to the other world. It features a number of long, winding paths upwards, all of them swarming with monsters.
The Tower of Wind is split into four unnamed stages:
- Stage One: The lowest floors of the tower.
- Stage Two: A path through the higher, more dilapidated floors of the tower, winding around both the tower's interior and its outer structures.
- Stage Three: An elevator platform leading to the tower's apex. The player character must defeat waves of monsters to make the elevator progress up each floor.
- Stage Four: The very top of the tower, where the gate to the other world is located[2] and where Raymond waits for the player character. The player character must fight a trio of transformed Ansects here.
Story
After learning of Raymond's plan from the log book left within Ksanaka,[2] the player character travels to the Tower of Wind. They climb the many floors of the tower, fighting off monsters along the way, until finally reaching the top where Raymond awaits. Raymond welcomes the player character to his island, greeting them by name, and shows off his knowledge of the player character before announcing that his research is almost complete.[3] Before the player character can confront him, he flees through the now-open gate to the other world, setting a trio of monsters on the player character to occupy them while he escapes. After defeating the two monsters, the player character follows Raymond through the gate and into the other world.[4]
