The Winner's Circle[1] is a location in the Guilty Gear series. This desolate plateau appears as tenth stage of Normal Mode in Guilty Gear, serving as Testament's battle stage.

Design

A large balcony connected to a thin, extensive suspended staircase leading to a floating reverse castle-like structure, possibly Heaven. Headless knights stand along the staircase, while angel statues stand atop pillars all arround. While the angels in the staircase are cowering, one at the main balcony stands gracious besides three skulls. A Blood red moon can be seem in the sky, dying the clouds and mountains bellow in deep crimson.

Story

During the Second Holy Order Selection Tournament, the victor confronts (or is confronted by) Testament, who reveals the true purpose of the tournament as a ploy to revive Justice. After a difficult battle, Testament exclaims only one more person's blood is needed to revive Justice--their own. As Justice is revived, the victor proceeds to the Heaven stage to battle her.

Trivia

  • The warriors are possibly Dullahans, creatures from Celtic mythology who were said to be mounted knights who carried their heads on their arms. Dullahans are known as either harbingers or prophets of death. Fittingly, Testament themself can be seem as a harbinger of death, as Justice's revival would result in the destruction of humanity.
