주인(박사)에게 충성을 맹세한 척하고, 사실은 전혀 말을 듣지 않는 자기중심적이며 제멋대로인 성격. 인간을 자신보다 낮은 존재로 철저하게 깔보고 있지만, 어쩐지 애교가 있으며 매우 인간미가 있는 로보이다. 의외로 여자를 좋아하며 밀리아, 바이켄, 디지를 좋아하는 것 같다.
UN 원로원 직하의 조직 「종전관리국」이 개발 · 제조하여 수많은 시제품이 만들어졌다. 그러나 최종단계 양산 전 시험에 불합격했기 때문에 시작품은 폐기된다. 본작에 등장하는 로보카이는 최초로 제작된 개체이자 최후의 개체가 되고 말았다.
【배경】
종전관리국의 과학자가 개발하고 있었던 인형병기. 제2차 성기사단 선발 무도대회와 성전 시에 활약했던 카이 키스크를 감시하여, 그의 전투 스타일을 데이터 샘플로 삼아 완성시킨 것이 「로보카이」이다. 훗날의 인조병사의 원형(?)이며, 특이하게도 인격이 주어져 있지만, 이후로는 그만큼 고도의 지능을 보유한 로보카이는 존재하지 않는다. 동력은 헤라클레스 엔진이라 불리는 장수풍뎅이.

Robo-Ky is a robotic weapon developed in a laboratory run by the Post-War Administration Bureau. It was modeled after the famous hero and warrior Ky Kiske-legendary for his accomplishments with the Second Sacred Order of Holy Knights. Data about Ky has been carefully sampled, analyzed, and finally incorporated into Robo-Ky's artificial intelligence unit.
This Robo-Ky was the unit upon which future models would be based, and the first to be implanted with a personality, but none of the Robo-Kys which followed were ever quite as complete. The source of its power is a powerful beetle known as the Hercules Engine.

Developed by the Post-War Administration Bureau, an organization directly under the Conclave, Roby-Ky underwent several revisions. Nonetheless, in the final stages of development, he was deemed defective, and the entire project, along with its prototypes, were scrapped. Currently, only the first model, and incidentally also the last, is out in the open.

终战管理局的科学家早就在开发他这种人型兵器了。他们监视第二届圣骑士团选拔武道大会时期大显身手的凯＝奇斯克，以他的战斗模式为蓝本制造出的成品就是“机器凯”。后来成为人造士兵雏形（？）的机器凯破例拥有了人格，但后来的机器凯就没有一台拥有他这样高度的智能了。动力来自一只被称作海格力士引擎的独角仙。
經過聯合國元老院直屬組織「終戰管理局」開發製造，並進行大量試做。但是在最後階段的量產試驗中，沒有通過檢驗，最後，試作品還是遭到廢棄。在本作登場的機械凱，是最初也是最後一具。

Robo-Ky wurde vom Nachkriegsverwaltungsbüro, einer Organisation, die dem Konklave direkt untersteht, entwickelt und mehrfach überarbeitet. In der Endphase seiner Entwicklung wurde er jedoch für defekt befunden und das gesamte Projekt wurde zusammen mit den Prototypen verschrottet. Zurzeit ist nur das erste Modell im Umlauf.

Robo-Ky ist eine Roboterwaffe, die in einem Labor des Nachkriegsverwaltungsbüros entwickelt wurde. Sie wurde dem berühmten Helden und Krieger Ky Kiske nachempfunden, dessen Errungenschaften im Zweiten Heiligen Ritterorden ihn zu einer Legende machten. Kys Daten wurden sorgfältig untersucht, analysiert und schließlich in Robo-Kys KI-Einheit implementiert.
