중화연방에서 1, 2위를 다투는 대반점 「휴마」와 「하나가타」. 모두 맛의 평판은 대단했지만, 그 본질은 전혀 다른 것이었다. 「휴마」의 방침은 「얼마나 애정을 담아 조리하여, 먹는 사람에게 행복을 주는가」. 그리고 「하나가타」는 「돈은 신경 쓰지 않고, 얼마나 양질의 재료로 맛있는 요리를 제공하는가」하는 것이었다. 두 가게는 서로 물과 기름처럼 반발했지만, 둘 다 요리인이라면 누구나 동경하는 요리의 명문이었다.

In the Federation of China there are two dining establishments of note: Hyuma and Hanagata, and each has their own culinary philosophy. Hyuma believes that pouring passion and love into their food will bring out those same feelings in their customers. Hanagata believes in using the best possible ingredients to create a delicious assortment of flavors-money, of course, being no object.
While it would be any chef's dream to work at either of these restaurants, Jam had no interest in either one. To her, the philosophies of both were equally ridiculous. To her, cooking was about making something that anyone would think was delicious, and the method of preparation and ingredients should serve that end. Determined to prove her point, Jam decided to open a restaurant of her own. When investors proved to be in short supply, she turned to high-value bounties to assemble the necessary capital. With that in mind, she made her way to the forest where Dizzy was rumored to hide-only to discover the Gear had already been defeated by Sol.
Refusing to accept defeat, however, Jam attempted to claim credit for destroying Dizzy, saying she had blown her into millions of tiny pieces. Apparently she was convincing, because she got the bounty and used it to open her restaurant.

Nella Federazione Cinese ci sono due ristoranti degni di nota, Hyuma e Hanagata, ciascuno con una propria filosofia culinaria. Hyuma ritiene che riversare passione e amore nel cibo farà emergere questi stessi sentimenti nei loro clienti. Hanagata crede nell'utilizzo degli ingredienti migliori per creare un delizioso assortimento di sapori, senza ovviamente badare a spese.
Sebbene lavorare in questi ristoranti sia il sogno di tutti gli chef, Jam non era interessata a nessuno dei due. Per lei, le loro filosofie erano ugualmente ridicole. Per lei, cucinare significava preparare qualcosa che chiunque avrebbe trovato delizioso, e le preparazioni e gli ingredienti avrebbero dovuto servire a tale scopo. Decisa a dimostrare il suo punto di vista, Jam scelse di aprire un ristorante tutto suo. Quando gli investitori si dimostrarono poco ricettivi, andò a caccia di taglie di alto valore per accumulare il capitale necessario. Con questa idea, si fece strada nella foresta in cui si diceva che Dizzy fosse nascosta, solo per scoprire che la Gear era già stata sconfitta da Sol.
Rifiutando di accettare la sconfitta, però, Jam tentò di rivendicare il merito della distruzione di Dizzy, raccontando di averla fatta esplodere in milioni di pezzettini. A quanto pare fu convincente, perché intascò la taglia che usò per aprire il suo ristorante.
