마법을 성립시키기 위해서는 복잡한 프로세스를 필요로 한다.
아래에 대략적인 관련업과 개념을 소개한다.
■라이터(프로그래머라 불리기도 한다)
마법에 필요한 프로그램 언어를 알고, 그것을 특정 형식으로 기록할 수 있는 자.
마법의 창작자이기도 하다.
이 직업에는 국가 자격이 필요.
■스코어(노트, 혹은 프로그램이라 불리기도 한다)
특정 효과를 가진 마법이 적힌 매체.
라이터의 손으로 기록된다.
여기에 기록하는 내용으로 불을 일으키거나 하늘을 나는 등의 효과가 결정되고, 제3자가 이용할 수 있게 된다.
대표적인 기록 매체는 「질」이나 「종이」.
■시퀀서(인스트루먼트)
스코어를 읽어 들여 재생하는 물리적인 기기. 내용의 편집은 불가능.
스코어와 시퀀서가 갖춰지면 일단 누구라도 마법을 쓸 수 있다.
일반가정에서는 「포드」라 불리며, 조명기구나 엔진으로 유통되고 있다.
시퀀서의 종류나 수준에 따라 스코어의 효과에 큰 영향이 생긴다.
같은 「포드」라도 빛이 깨끗하거나, 연비가 좋거나 등.
기본적으로 시판품은 복잡한 일을 할 수 없으며, 단일 목적을 위해서만 쓸 수 있다.
예를 들면, 일반가정의 「포드」로는 조명효과밖에 얻을 수 없지만, 솔이 소유한 봉염검이라면 화염방사나 폭발, 그리고 그 제어가 가능하다.
■소프트웨어 시퀀서
물리 시퀀서와의 차이는 기기를 쓰지 않고 인간 자신이 백야드와 교신하여 같은 효과를 내는 법술을 가리킨다. 혹은 마법사 자체를 이렇게 부른다.
물리 시퀀서와 달리, 내용을 편집하는 것도 가능.
편집에 의해 독자적으로 어레인지할 수 있다.
이런 술자가 되기 위해서는 자격시험에 합격할 필요가 있다.
정부나 거대조직의 엔지니어로 일할 경우가 많다.
■엔지니어
스코어를 편집하여, 최적의 출력환경을 갖추는 프로페셔널.
엔지니어의 실력이 없으면 마법의 효과도 본래의 포텐셜을 발휘할 수 없다.
■마법사
맨몸으로 마법을 창작하고 행사할 수 있는 존재. 혹은 그 마법을 스코어에 기록하는 자.
기본적인 성질로서는 엔지니어와 같지만, 개발이나 연구의 색채가 강하다.
또, 법술의 연성 시간이 매우 고속이다.
■물리 시퀀서를 사용하는 이유
처리속도의 문제
소프트웨어 시퀀서는 엔지니어의 실력에 효과가 좌우되므로, 원하는 효과를 적절히 얻을 수 있으리란 보장이 없다. 그리고 연성을 위한 시간도 필요하다.
본작의 주인공 솔도 빈번하게 사용하는 공격에는 봉염검이라는 하드웨어 시퀀서를 사용하고 있다. 자신이 연성하는 것보다 효율적이고 안정적이기 때문이다.
「그 남자」로 대표되는 「마법사」들은 이런 일련의 효과들을 도구 없이 고속으로 재현하는 것이 가능.
난이도의 문제
애초에 엔지니어나 마법사는 기본적으로 정부의 감시하에 있는 직장에서만 일할 수 있다. 그 자격을 얻기 위한 문턱도 매우 높으며, 일상생활에서는 필요성이 낮다.

■ライター（プログラマと呼ばれることもある）

■シーケンサー（インストロメント）
スコアを読み取って再生する物理的な機器。内容の編集はできない。
スコアとシーケンサーがそろえば、とりあえずは誰でも魔法を使うことができる。
一般家庭では「ポッド」と呼ばれ、照明器具やエンジンとして流通している。
シーケンサーの種類や、出来によって、スコアの効果には大きな影響が出る。
同じ「ポッド」でも、きれいな明かりだったり、燃費がよかったりなど。
基本的に、市販品は複雑なことが出来ず、単一的な目的のためだけに使うことが出来る。
例えば、一般家庭の「ポッド」では照明効果しか得ることが出来ないが、ソルが所有する封炎剣であれば、火炎放射や爆発、またその制御が可能である。
■ソフトウェアシーケンサー
物理シーケンサーとの違いは、機器を使わず人間自身がバックヤードと交信して同様の効果をもたらす法術を指す。あるいは魔法使いそのものをこう称する。
物理シーケンサーと異なり、内容を編集することが可能。
それにより独自のアレンジを施すことが出来る。
このような術者になるためには、資格試験に合格する必要がある。
政府や巨大組織のエンジニアとして働くことが多い。
■エンジニア
スコアを編集し、最適な出力環境を整えるプロフェッショナル。
エンジニアの腕が無いと、魔法の効果も本来のポテンシャルを発揮できない。
■魔法使い
身一つで魔法を創作し、行使できる存在。あるいはその魔法をスコアに記録する者。
基本的な性質としてはエンジニアと同様であるが、開発や研究の色が強い。
また、法術の練成時間が非常に高速である。
■物理シーケンサーを使用する理由
処理速度の問題
ソフトウェアシーケンサーは、エンジニアの手腕によって効果が左右されるため、望んだ効果が適切に得られるとは限らない。更に練成のための時間も必要とする。
本作の主人公ソルも、頻繁に使用する攻撃には、封炎剣というハードウェアシーケンサーを使用している。自らが練成するよりも効率的で安定しているためである。
「あの男」に代表される「魔法使い」はこういった一連の効果を道具を使わずに高速に再現することが可能。
難易度の問題
そもそもエンジニアや魔法使いは、基本的に政府の監視下に置かれた職場でしか働くことが出来ない。その資格を得るための敷居も非常に高く、日常生活における必要性が低い。

Creating magic is a highly involved process. Below is a simplified pipeline of those involved in said process.
- Writer (sometimes called programmer)
Those who are able to write the necessary programmatic language to cause magic to occur, and log it in the appropriate format. They are the "creators" of magic. One must have a state-mandated license to hold this position.
- Score (sometimes called "notes" or "program")
A medium upon which a certain type of magic has been written. These are logged by the writers. Based on what these scores say, such as "cause fire" or "fly" the person activating the spell is able to cause a desired effect. Primary recording mediums include zeal or paper.
- Sequencer (Instroment)
A physical device that will load a score and play it back. Its contents cannot be altered. Once a person has a score and sequencer, they are basically able to use magic. In common households, the combination of the two are called "pods" and commonly used for lighting or as an engine.
Depending on the sequencer type or score, the final effect will vary greatly. For example the quality of the pod may affect the quality of its light, or be more efficient, etc. Basically, the commonly traded goods on the market are designed for a specific purpose, and cannot perform complex tasks.
For example, an average lighting pod will only be able to light up a small area, but Sol's Fireseal can ignite objects, or cause explosions. Furthermore, he can adjust output as desired.
- Software Sequencer
Unlike its physical sequencer counterparts, a software sequencer is the act of tapping directly into the Backyard to cause spells that produce similar or desired effects. Some mages are called this, as well.
Altering the contents are possible, unlike physical sequencers. That means the caster is able to arrange the spell according to his or her desires. - Reasons for a Physical Sequencer
Issues in processing speed. Because software sequencers are largely affected by the engineer's skills, there is no guarantee that the desired effect will occur every time. Furthermore, the casting process is very long and tedious.
Even our protagonist Sol uses a hardware sequencer known as the Fireseal. That is because it is much safer and more stable than if he attempted to cast the spell himself. However, skilled sorcerers like That Man are able to do this entire process without any tools.
- Difficulty

■为什么要使用实体音序器

- Verfasser (manchmal auch Programmierer genannt)
Als Verfasser bezeichnet man die Personen, die in der Lage sind, die notwendige Programmiersprache zu verwenden, mit der man Magie entstehen lassen kann, und diese im entsprechenden Format zu protokollieren. Sie sind die „Schöpfer“ der Magie. Für die Position des Schreibers benötigt man eine staatliche Lizenz.
- Notenblatt (manchmal auch „Noten“ oder „Programm“ genannt)
Ein Medium, auf das eine bestimmte Art von Magie geschrieben wurde. Auf Grundlage dessen, was im Notenblatt steht (zum Beispiel „Feuer entfachen“ oder „Fliegen“) kann die Person, die den Zauberspruch wirkt, den gewünschten Effekt erzielen. Zu den hauptsächlich verwendeten Medien für die Aufzeichnung gehören Zeal und Papier.
- Sequenzer (Instroment)

- Gründe für einen Hardware-Sequenzer
Probleme bei der Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit. Da Software-Sequenzer weitgehend von den Fähigkeiten des Ingenieurs beeinflusst werden, gibt es keine Garantie, dass der gewünschte Effekt jedes Mal eintritt. Außerdem ist das Wirken von Zaubern mit Software-Sequenzern sehr langwierig und mühsam.

- Erschwernisse
Ingenieure und Zauberer arbeiten im Allgemeinen unter den wachsamen Augen der Regierung. Die Erlangung dieser Lizenz ist zudem äußerst mühsam und im täglichen Leben gibt es kaum Nachfrage nach den hoch spezialisierten Fähigkeiten von Zauberern und Ingenieuren.
-Escritor (también conocido como programador)
Son quienes redactan el lenguaje capaz de generar la magia y lo registran con el formato correcto; los «creadores» de la magia en sí. Se necesita una licencia emitida por el Estado para cumplir esta función.

-Secuenciador (instroment)

Por ejemplo, una cápsula de iluminación solo podrá dar luz a una zona pequeña, pero el arma Sellama de Sol es capaz de prender fuego a objetos o causar explosiones, con más intensidad o menos según la manipule.
-Secuenciador de software
Estos se sirven directamente del Patio Trasero para generar hechizos con los que provocar efectos concretos.
Al contrario que con los secuenciadores físicos, sí es posible alterar el contenido de los secuenciadores de software. Eso significa que quien lanza el hechizo puede manipularlo según sus deseos. Es necesario seguir un entrenamiento muy rígido y aprobar un examen estatal para practicar magia a este nivel. Quienes tienen esta capacidad, habitualmente trabajan para el gobierno o para grandes corporaciones como ingenieros.
-Ingeniero
Un profesional que edita las partituras para que provoquen el efecto deseado en cualquier situación. Si no se tiene la habilidad necesaria, el efecto mágico no aprovechará todo su potencial.
-Hechicero
Quien maneja la magia sin catalizadores externos y es capaz de registrar el hechizo deseado en una partitura. Se parecen a los ingenieros, pero se centran más en las áreas de investigación y desarrollo. Además, son capaces de lanzar hechizos en muy poco tiempo.
-Motivos para utilizar secuenciadores físicos

- La partition (aussi appelée « notes » ou « programme »)
Un médium sur lequel un certain type de magie a été inscrit par un auteur. La personne qui l'active obtient un effet qui dépend de ce qui y est écrit, par exemple « produire du feu » ou « faire voler ». Les matériaux les plus prisés pour servir de partition sont le zèle ou le papier.
- Le séquenceur (instroment)
Un appareil qui charge et joue une partition. Son contenu ne peut être modifié. Quiconque est équipé d'une partition et d'un séquenceur est à même d'utiliser la magie. Dans la plupart des foyers, la combinaison de ces deux éléments est appelée « pod » et sert le plus souvent d'éclairage ou de moteur.
L'effet final varie selon le type de séquenceur ou de partition : la qualité du pod affecte la qualité de la lumière, son efficacité, etc. Pour résumer, les pods vendus le plus couramment sont conçus pour remplir un objectif précis et seront incapables d'accomplir des tâches complexes.
Par exemple, un pod d'éclairage moyen ne pourra éclairer qu'une zone réduite, alors que le Fireseal de Sol arrive à enflammer des objets ou à provoquer des explosions de l'ampleur de son choix.
- Le séquenceur logiciel
Contrairement au séquenceur physique, le séquenceur logiciel puise directement dans le Jardin pour produire des sorts aux effets désirés. C'est aussi le terme utilisé pour désigner certains mages.
À la différence de leurs homologues physiques, il est possible de modifier leur contenu ; le lanceur peut donc adapter le sort à ses désirs. Il est pour cela nécessaire de suivre un entraînement rigoureux et de passer un examen national. Les personnes possédant un tel talent travaillent habituellement comme ingénieurs pour le gouvernement ou une grande entreprise.
- L'ingénieur
Un professionnel qui peut modifier les partitions pour obtenir le résultat idéal dans une situation ou un scénario donnés. S'il n'est pas suffisamment compétent, l'effet du sort ne sera pas optimal.
- Le sorcier
Une personne suffisamment puissante pour lancer un sort sans catalyseur extérieur ou pour inscrire les sorts souhaités dans une partition. Bien que son rôle soit assez semblable à celui de l'ingénieur, il se consacre davantage à la recherche et au développement. Il peut en outre lancer un sort en un temps extrêmement court.
- Pourquoi utiliser des séquenceurs physiques
Pour des raisons de temps de traitement : les performances des séquenceurs logiciels dépendent grandement des compétences de l'ingénieur et il n'est nullement garanti qu'on obtiendra l'effet souhaité à chaque fois. En outre, avec ce procédé, le lancement du sort est long et laborieux.
Même Sol préfère utiliser un séquenceur physique, le Fireseal, une méthode bien plus stable et sûre que s'il tentait de lancer le sort lui-même. Cependant, les sorciers les plus talentueux, comme That Man, n'ont aucune difficulté à effectuer tout le processus sans l'aide d'aucun outil.
- La difficulté
