Secret Voice
XX Accent Core Plus
The following is a transcript of Nakata's "Secret Voice" message found in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R (fan translated)[2][3]
- Huh? What is this piece of paper? What?
- “We need you to record some bonus voice content, please. ” And it needs to be improvised?
- What a drag… Guess I have no choice. I’ll do it however I want to do it, though. *Clear his throat*
- Eh~, Hello everyone. I’m Jouji Nakata, 18 years old, the person inside Sol Badguy.
- Oops, who am I kidding here~?. Hm~, there might’ve been someone who said exactly the same thing before, but anyway…
- Ah, since Guilty Gear 2 has been released before this Guilty Gear Accent Core, for those who played that game first, that was the first appearance of Sol Badguy that I played…
- Ah~ that was such a confusing way to put it…
- Ah, let me put it this way. Guilty Gear 2 was my first Sol Badguy.
- How did you like it? Hope you enjoyed it.
- Alright, I wanna start answering questions now.
- First question is “What was it like to play Sol?”
- What was it like, huh… Well, Sol is the main character. It’s such a great role, you know.
- He’s all in red with the hair looking like that. And, he also got these washboard abs, and bulging muscles.
- It was the best, I gotta say. Playing that role was a really interesting experience, and a lot of fun, too.
- Alright, let’s move on to the next question. “Any comments for the Sol fans all over the world?”
- Hm~ that’s a tough one. You know, Sol is in the head of everyone, including Director Ishiwatari, all the time.
- There are all the kinds of Sols, and each one of us has our own version of Sol.
- It was so hard to play a character like that, but I did my version of Sol based on my understanding and impression when I looked at drawings of him, so if you enjoy my version of Sol, I couldn’t be happier.
- For all the fans of Guilty Gear series, I hope you enjoy the new world, the world of Guilty Gear.
- Did we have another question? Hm?
(From Kikuko Inoue)
- Ah, my favorite food is ramen, so do you happen to know any good ramen restaurants?
- If you don’t know… Then please just disregard this question LOL.
- But if you do know any, please tell me. Ahhhh I don’t even know if Jouji likes ramen or not, and yet this is the question for him… I’m sorry. I hope he likes ramen too.
- Oh, ok… Ramen… Let’s see.
- You know, since I lived in foreign countries for a long time, so I prefer pasta (with foreign accent).
- Ah, that was such an obvious lie (laugh). Of course I love ramen!!
- I often exchange information on ramen restaurants with Mr. Hiyama, and actually visit those restaurants.
- I’ve been to ramen restaurants from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu and Okinawa in the south, but I think it’s always best to enjoy ramens that are specialty of the area you’re in.
- When I was in Sapporo, my friends and I were like “Ooooh, it’s freezing! Are there any good ramen places around here?
- I can’t forget the taste of the ramen in the restaurant we finally found there.
- You should enjoy Sapporo miso ramen in Hokkaido because it’s the specialty of Hokkaido. It can’t taste any better.
- And you know those ramen stalls in Kyushu? It’s so good to have ramen at one of those stalls in Nakasu.
- I wonder why is it so good to eat at those stalls…
- Hygienically speaking, they’re sometimes questionable, but the taste of their ramen is the best, without a doubt.
- One of the reasons for that is because you eat it in Nakasu. Because you eat with bunch of your friends! It’s as simple as that.
- Huh? That didn’t answer the question? Oops.
- Since I used to live on those instant noodles, I think my ultimate ramen is my home-made salt ramen!
- You wouldn’t believe how good it is. I sometimes add some vegetables, but most of the time, I just add an egg.
- It’s nice and simple, but it tastes great. Sometimes, I sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds on top.
- Kikuko-san, I’ll satisfy your taste buds to a climax with my ultimate salt ramen. <3
- That’s it from me. This is Jouji Nakata. I’ll see you all in the… next title, I guess?
- I hope to see you all there! Until then, good bye~.
- Ooooops, my baaaaad. I totally forgot about this relay thing. Who should I relay it to?
- Hm, alright. I guess the next person is that blue frog who tends to be forgotten.
- Eh~ here is my question to you, Kusao-san.
- I often go practice golfing with Kusao-san and we were talking about going on a golf course, but since it’s winter now, I once asked him if he wanted to go play pool sometime.
- I’ve always wondered which games he liked though. There’s nine ball, and what was it, four ball? Oh, four ball is baseball (lagh).
- Anyways, the one with four balls. If there’s a particular game you like, I’d love to be your match, so please tell me what your favorite game is. And finally…
- Cut the crap and just play with me already! I’ll hear you out after that.
- Alright~ for all the Sol fans out there, try your best not to let anybody beat you!
- Once again, this was Jouji Nakata, the person inside Sol Badguy. I’ll see you all in the next title!

Arcade
- Hey! Not bad you made it here, it's Sol Badguy's Joji Nakata. How's everyone doing!? Man... Those graphics are just amazing, huh?
- What do you guys think? Hm? Yes, well... I suppose it took you guys a lot of effort to make it this far, too.
- I guess you could call yourself an amateur solider or whatever. But the path to mastery is still a long ways away.
- Keep playing different characters, and explore everything this game has to offer.
- Hm? Music? Oh yeah, it rocks, doesn't it. You see, I'm not good at fighting games because my reflexes are just not fast enough. Hm? Yeaaaah, I didn't buy it.
- Which happens sometimes, but... All you kids can react like no one's business, so yes... Keep playing different characters and have fun!
Consumer
- Hello Everyone. I'm the guy inside of Sol Badguy, Joji Nakata.
- I hope everyone enjoyed REVELATOR, now available on the PlayStation®4 system and PlayStation®3 system.
- I do hope everyone enjoys it because it's... Well, it has quite a big of volume, and with the additional story and 3 characters...
- What can I say? I had a blast performing the voices, and I think everyone can agree when they see the ending, "Man, that was a good story!"
- And his arch nemesis, That Man shows up, and boy... all the secrets revealed. I mean, when Ky was like "Whaaa-!?"
- We can't talk about this! And, all the little nuances that went into the story, as well.
- Now all this talking is... "Gettin' on my nerves." Heh, see you next time!
