Secret Voice

The following is a transcript of Koyasu's "Secret Voice" message found in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2[1].

  • Hello everyone, it's the person inside Zato One, Takehito Koyasu. So here I am, once again playing Zato, and...
  • I think the recording session went rather smooth? It was quite an enjoyable one, too.
  • After all, Zato's lines are quite... Unique? And, so is the contents of his line. It makes it a really difficult balancing act,
  • like those subtle nuances? If I try to go for it too hard, it'll sound stupid. When you're asking yourself," Was that supposed to be funny?"
  • Is the perfect balance. But, bringing the character there is actually much harder than it looks. So, I know I've been doing this for quite some time, but...
  • ...the Guilty Gear staff has been very supportive and accommodating throughout the process. Which makes Takehito Koyasu's job much easier.
  • It's like I'm acting with a whole team of cheerleaders behind me.
  • Even the lines I'll perform and think, "Damn that wasn't really good," they'll tell me is interesting and could work in certain contexts.
  • How can I put this... It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Yes, I think that describes it.
  • I really feel like people love the Zato we've created. I know for a fact that we certainly do.
  • So, I'm honored to be back here again, and recording Zato. So, keep sending us those warm words and welcome -- how you want to see Zato,
  • or different ways you want to see him. Those kind of requests are all very very welcome. Be sure to send it Arc System Works' way.
  • And while they'll complain about how tedious it is, they'll be looking at your comments and continue to improve the game.
  • So thank you very much for your support!
