Guilty Bear (ギルティベア, Giruti Bea?) is an upcoming 2D fighting game by Arc System Works set to release in May 14, 20xx. This was their 2022 April Fools' joke, featuring the playable cast of Guilty Gear -Strive- up to the game's first season pass in bear forms.

A next-generation fighting game, it is billed as having a battle system thoroughly obsessed with cuteness, soothing fancy sounds, and a total of 20 characters. Related merchandise—acrylic key chains and can badges—was released on late July 2022.

Trivia

• This game shares some similarities to Capcom's Neco Drop; both are April's Fools Day titles featuring the playable cast of a current title (Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and Guilty Gear -Strive-, respectively) in cute chibi animal form, although Neco Drop stars cats instead of bears.
