Sol

Intro
Narrator: Sol and co. are operating around the clock to get Elphelt back from her kidnappers. But time continues to pass without any solid leads... Just then, the most unexpected guest shows up.
November 9th, 2187 (Illyria Castle)
Sol: [grabs Raven from the collar and pins him to a wall] Lend you my strength?
Raven: That's right.
Sol: What kind of joke is this? Why would I be your damn errand boy?
Raven: If I had any other option, I would have explored it... but this time, we are truly in need of your strength.
Sol: ...Why me?
Raven: Time is of the essence... I can explain on the way.
Sol: Huuh!?
Raven: Justice is still in the hands of our enemy. It is only a matter of time before she's revived. We want to stop their plan. You get to save that Valentine... I believe our interests are aligned?
Sol: ...
Raven: Flame of Corruption. I swear on it. If you feel suspicious at any moment, you can behead me if you wish.
Sol: [lets go of Raven] Hmph... as if that'd be enough to kill you. Sin. Get ready. We're heading out.
November 16th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Raven: I-No? Did you find Jack-O'?
I-No: Forget about her. I found something far more interesting.
Raven: Huh? What on earth are you...
I-No: More importantly... [attacks Sol] I'm interested in your "seed."
Sol: "Seed?"
Raven: Tch... What idiocy did Jack-O' put into your head?
[Fight ensues.]
I-No: [dodges a Bandit Bringer] Hmph... I guess I got a little too greedy... Fine. You guys do whatever...for now. [leaves]
Sol: What's goin' on here?
Raven: ... I don't know how much I am at liberty to say... Do you know what the Universal Will is planning on doing with Justice?
Sol: The parrot said some thing about not knowing its true motive, but...isn't something straightforward like wiping out humanity or some such?
Raven: I can see why you'd think that way. But its true aim is the revival of Justice.
Sol: Meaning?
Raven: To put it in simple terms, it wants to create a new version of "humanity" to replace the current one. Our vessel, "Justice", fulfilled its criteria. And the Valentines were created as souls to be merged with Justice.
Sol: In other words, when Elphelt fuses with Justice, we'll have a brand new version of humanity on our hands.
Raven: That Man is working to keep that from happening. His plan is to fuse Jack-O' to Justice instead, blocking any other attempt to do someting similar.
Sol: And your "lid," Jack-O', just ran off. So now, you want me to capture her. That still doesn't answer why you need me. Besides, I'm not really clear on the whole "compatibility" thing. Are only certain types of souls able to merge with Justice?
Raven: ...As you know, Gears need a certain type of subject. For example, when something becomes a Gear, its predecessor's conscious is inherted. Which would make it extremely difficult for a complete stranger to fuse with Justice.
Sol: The hell...!? Then the reason the first Valentine looked like Aria was-- You piece of shit... Why'd you bring me here?!
Raven: ...It appears that I've said too much.
Sol: [grabs Raven] Answer me! Why am I here?!
November 17th, 2187
Jack-O': Ah, Raven! Long time, no see! ...And, nice to meet you!
Sol: K'uh... My freaking head! What the hell--?!
Jack-O': Are you here to capture me, too? Aw, I wanted to have a little more fun.
Raven: Don't be like that. I even brought your friend, Sol Badguy, with me.
Jack-O': Sol...? Huh? So that's your name...? I thought it was Fre— Um, I can't seem to recall it. But... I feel like we'd really get along!
Raven: All according to plan... Let's go back now.
Jack-O': Sure!
Sol: ... Wait. Take off your mask. Show me your face.
Jack-O': Eh? Okay, but you've gotta give me some candy!
Sol: Candy?
Jack-O': Otherwise, I'm gonna play some tricks on you! Trick or treat!
Ending
Sol: (...There's no way she should be this strong. No way...)
Jack-O': [takes mask off] I'm Jack-O' Valentine. And... I'm half-Aria. Yes... Half... halved? No, that's not it, either.. More accurately, I'm a synthesis of Aria's fragmented memory, designed to overwrite Justice's individual information sectors. Kind of like a physical patch.
Raven: You have my thanks, Flame of Corruption.
Sol: What-!? Wait a sec...!
Raven: Quit your yapping. You'll understand everything soon enough. For now, we just wait patiently for That Man to become free. Willingly or not, you're going to be heavily involved in everything that's about to go down. [teleports away with Jack-O']
Sol: Goddamn it! [punches the ground, leaving a large crater] You mean Justice... Justice was Aria all along?!

Ky

Intro
Narrator: Mankind has once again narrowly escaped extinction by the hands of another Valentine. But the incident was far from over. The First King, Ky Kiske begins his investigation in hopes of uncovering the truth.
November 5th, 2187 (Royal Fleet One)
Ky: [to comm] Absolutely. I would be honored if your nation could offer its support. Thank you very much. I will see you on location. [ends call]
Guard: I cannot imagine this being the best course of action...
Ky: Nevertheless, we can expect the best results.
Guard: Still, I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around it... The very units designed to protect us from Valentines were under the enemy's control all along... We should have paid closer attention to them, when we knew the Conclave was involved.
Ky: No one has realized the dangers yet, but still... we cannot simply ignore the problem.
Guard: Sir. [as he leaves] I also have a report of note... It looks like one of the nations with considerable influence is intervening our operations. Do be careful on your way, sir.
Ky: Understood. And, thank you. [Guard leaves, closing the door.] The battle to wager the future of humanity... I will make sure this doesn't go down in history as another catastrophe. I believe we can unite.
November 7th, 2187 (Opera House)
Ky: The Opera House... I can't believe this facility was camouflaged here all along. If only I can find out something about the Conclave's intentions...
Potemkin: You didn't bring much in the way of support...for infiltrating your enemy's headquarters.
Ky: Potempkin... It shames me to admit this, but we have yet to identify the Conclave's operatives. For this mission, I am limited to those operatives I trust the most.
Potemkin: While that may be the case, it is frankly absurd for someone of your stature to risk venturing here alone. Furthermore, I think it's extremely risky for you to be sharing information with a country you're technically at odds with.
Ky: Yes, I am all too aware of all you've said.
Potemkin: Which would make this more than a simple follow-up to your investigation.
Ky: The Opus units are more dangerous than people believe... But I need proof to present to the Sanctus Maximus. And in order to obtain it, I need your government's help. I also need a statement from your country's scientists.
Potemkin: You're suggesting that the Conclave's plans are still in motion.
Ky: That's right.
Potemkin: ...How sublime.
Ky: Huh? What are you...?!
Potemkin: Please forgive me for what I'm about to do... But there is something I must know...
[Fight ensues.]
Potemkin: Alas, my strength is no match for yours... Truly disappointing.
Ky: What's gotten into you?
Potemkin: It is my sworn duty to protect my President...and my nation. Yet a few days ago, I suffered a humiliating defeat. Is this truly the limit of my strength...?
Ky: Humiliating...? That's not true, you're--
Potemkin: Thoughts alone will not solve this!
Ky: ...
Potemkin: Being resolved...will not help me in battle. In this stae, how am I to protect anything? Should I come face to face with my enemy once more, I do not want to be so helpless.
Ky: ...Hehe... Hahahaha! I was planning on opening up to you, but it seems you've beat me to the punch.
Potemkin: ?
Ky: Potempkin, I feel exactly the same way. Like you, I feel weak and powerless. Alone, I am unable to solve even the simplest of problems. Which is precisely why I came to you for help. The reason I asked you to come here wasn't just for you to help me in this investigation. What the world needs right now, is "hope." We're making a stand against an unknown force... What we must do first is remove the people's fear of it. And that will not be easy. Our nations have been at odds for so long... ...Which is why us joining forces has such significance. Surely, we will be able to imbue that sense of hope within our people.
Potemkin: Then perhaps my earlier actions would be considered a serious diplomatic snafu...
Ky: "To understand a warrior's heart, one must ask his blade." I believe we were simply negotiating terms. Wouldn't you agree?
Potemkin: ...You really ARE a foolish king.
November 7th, 2187 (Opera House)
Ky: [papers appear on screen] Here it is. I found it!
Potemkin: Hmm... I see. The Opus are, in fact, Gears. The Conclave knew this all along even as they were planting Opus units all around the world...
Ky: Most likely. They may all be dormant now, but there's no guarantee they won't awaken and attack again.
Potemkin: Which means that the world could be held hostage at any moment...
Ky: Exactly. Therefore--
Chipp: Hold it right there! What do you plan on doing with that thing?
Ky: You're... Chipp Zanuff?! When did you--?
Chipp: I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but... You're planning on deactivating all the Opus units?
Ky: That's correct.
Chipp: Of course you are. Well, I'm not gonna let that happen!
Ky: ?
Chipp: Opus units exist to protect humanity from outside threats. They're seen as fortresses, giving citizens around the world peace of mind. And you'd dare to take that away from the nations who need them?
Ky: ...
Chipp: Smaller nations would grovel at the doorstep of the U.N. begging for order, which they'd fail to ensure. Riots or even a civil war would be certain. So wake up! Your idea of "safety" would doom the rest of us!
[Fight ensues.]
Chipp: Stop! Alright... It's obvious you're serious.
Ky: Huh?
Chipp: Sorry about testing you like that. I needed to know just how serious you were. I guess there's no need to worry about that.
Ky: Why did you do all this?
Chipp: The real culprit behind all of these events is still around, right? I needed to see the strength of your resolve with my own eyes. The Universal Will... is what you're going to say?
Ky: Where did you learn that name?
Chipp: I poked around a bit... Found a few things saying it was a wholly amoral being. But think about everything that's gone down... This wasn't done by some soulless force... My guess? They're human.
Ky: Impossible...
Chipp: Basically, you're the ruler of the world. It's cool that you're a nice guy and all, but... don't be caught off guard when something happens. [leaves]
Ending
Ky: [holding Chipp's kunai] The Universal Will is...human? ...Why can't I dismiss this feeling... Then who could it be...? Or am I...

May

Intro
Narrator: Showing symptoms of an illness unique to the Japanese, May ran about trying to find a complete cure under the guidance of Doctor Faust.
November 12th, 2187 (May Ship II)
Johnny: [to comm] Oh yeah, it's probably best you steer clear of the Black Sea from there. They've got really strict inspection points.
Haehyun: [via comm] Understood... Even then I'll probably arrive before you. I'll get a head-start on the investigation.
Johnny: I owe you one.
Haehyun: Don't mention it. I'll see you at the Colony. [ends call]
Johnny: [to crew] Alright, you ready!? Time to take off!
May: [salutes] On your cue, captain! Wait, Johnny... why does this Tuner also have to sneak around like us?
Johnny: He's got his reasons. He doesn't like having his photo taken at checkpoints. Old fashioned exposure-time cameras are fine, but the more modern magic-based ones have a chance of exposing his real identity.
May: His identity...?
Johnny: You'll understand when you meet him. But right now, our top priority is to get him and Doctor Faust in the same room.
May: Aye-aye!
November 18th, 2187 (Japanese Colony)
May: We finally made it! ...Huh?
Leo: Wha--!? You guys are...!
Johnny: Th-The Second King... What's a government lackey doing here...?
May: Um, Johnny...? Are you and that old guy friends?
Johnny: Um, how do I put it? We're not necessarily friends, really... I doubt he's just going to let us walk.
Leo: Uh... [acting] Gah! If it isn't the pirate band that's been disturbing the peace in the Pacific! I'm tired of seeing you roam free!
Johnny & May: Whaa-?!
Leo: Accept your fate, and surrender peacefully! [clashes swords with May's anchor, then whispers] Play along with me here!
May: [whispers] Why?!
Leo: I've already encountered four wanted criminals today... You two are three and four, by the way. The first two got away... ...If I let you two escape with my subordinates looking on, how do you think that'd make me look? Word of my incompetence would spread like wildfire! I'd probably even be suspected of treason!
May: [pushes Leo away] Not our problem!
Johnny: Mmm... Fine, you have a deal. But you owe me, big time.
May: Whaaaa-?!
[Fight ensues.]
Leo: [panting] Why you... You're supposed to be...under arrest...
May: N'eeeeah!
Johnny: Aw man... maybe I went a little too far...
Haehyun: [jumps between them] Stand down! Both of you! I will not have you disturb the peace of this place!
Leo: Who the hell are you?!
Haehyun: Pardon me for not introducing myself first... I am Haehyun, the fifth head of the Kum family. I've come here after being told of a disturbance in the colonies.
Leo: The Kum family...? You mean the Tuners? Forgive me...
Haehyun: My behavior was also inexcusable; nonetheless, we have a matter of utmost urgency on our hands. I realize you have your duties to your government, but I ask you keep this silent.
Leo: I could hardly refuse a request from the Kum family.
Haehyun: Now, Mr. J... Given our current circumstances, rendezvousing with the doctor will be difficult. Is there any way you can let him know what's going on?
Ending
May: Oh man... I was really worried for a second. Thank gosh you showed up!
Haehyun: It's simply how events ended up unfolding. No need to thank me.
May: Heh heh. You're friendlier than you look, Haehyun. Your name is really cute, too... It's almost like a girl's name!
Haehyun: ... After my predecessor passed on, the main family became at odds with more distant branches of the family. All after the inheritence, you understand. With no successor to the head of the family in place, my mother worked to protect the reputation of the Kum name...sacrificing her body to do it. Soon after she resolved the conflict with our house, she gave birth to me before leaving this world behind... ...Knowing all this, do you still wish to comment on the name my mother gave me? [looks angry, and eye shines]
May: Wa-wa-wah...! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it that way...!
Haehyun: Hahahahaha! I'm just teasing you. Since you're one of Johnny's girls...how about I tell you the REAL secret behind my name? [looks at Johnny, who nods]
May: The secret?
Haehyun: [exoskeleton opens, revealing her real body] I'm actually a woman!
May: [utterly shocked] ...?!

Faust

Intro
Narrator: The Colony is being managed by someone with more influence than the Conclave... Once Faust discovered this, he took action -- to see for himself if the odd phenomena can really happen with the Japanese people, as he predicted.
November 9th, 2187 (Wasteland)
Chronus: Is it true...? Someone other than the Conclave sending orders to the Japanese Colony?
Faust: Which is why I'm asking you... to confirm it with your own eyes. This could all be a misunderstanding in the bureaucratic process. Maybe a little mistake. In fact, I'd prefer if that were the case... It would be much better than the alternatives.
Chronus: Alternatives... but who? And why?
Faust: I won't deny the importance of getting to the root of this. But my primary concern is the well-being of people. First, let's pay a vist to Johnny's friend, the Tuner.
November 9th, 2187
Chronus: ... Is it possible that the Universal Will ordered that the colonist be treated...?
Faust: Well, that came out of nowhere. What, exactly, do you mean?
Chronus: The truth is: I was unable to fuse with Justice from the beginning.
Faust: Huh? You're not trying to shift responsibility for all this to someone else now, are you?
Chronus: Not at all. In the final battle, Sol ripped me from Justice—at least, that's what it'd look like to those looking on, like you... But just before that happened, Justice rejected me. I was unable to fuse with her...
Faust: Rejected?
Chronus: If the Universal Will knew that would happen, then...
Faust: ...As intriguing as your theory sounds, I fail to see the connection to the colony.
Chronus: Until now, we all believed that the Universal Will was a wholly rational entity that'd solve any problem it encountered in a methodical and organized manner. But if my hunch is correct, the Universal Will may not be as amoral as we've been assuming. Human psychology... It's been reading the subtle signs in everything we do.
Faust: So, basically what you're tring to say is this? The Universal Will became human in order to better understand them. And, by taking advantage of the Conclave, it's plotting something much bigger that involves the colonies?
Chronus: Is it that far-fetched?
Faust: That's...not much of a joke. Let's hope that you're wrong...
November 16th, 2187 (Japanese Colony)
Faust: Ah...
Leo: Hm?
Chronus: This isn't good...
Leo: ...Is this a dream? Because from where I'm standing, you two look a lot like the Concla-- the ex-leader of the Conclave and wanted war criminal, and the unlicensed doctor.
Faust: Oh, um... yes! This is a dream!
Leo: Right... So, I'm dreaming...of you.
Faust: I'd hate to overstay my welcome in someone else's dream, so if you'll excuse me--
Leo: Hold it right there! You think me a fool!? Dream or not, you don't honestly believe that —I— would let two criminals just walk on by?! What do you think?!
Guard: Sir, no sir!
Faust: Oh well... I can't exactly let you get caught right now, Chronus...
[Fight ensues.]
Faust: *Pant pant* It looks like...we managed to outrun him...
Chronus: ...
Faust: [comm rings] Hello... Doctor here.
Johnny: [via comm, off-screen] Doc. It's Johnny. Sorry, but the situation's changed so Ill just cut to the chase. Don't come here right now. Leo's in the area...
Faust: Hmm... our destinations were one and the same, after all. This is rather troubling.
Johnny: However, we were able to rendezvous with the Tuner. Looks like he's done with his preliminary investigation.
Faust: Understood... Could you put him on the line?
Ending
[Chronus is having tea in the background.]
Haehyun: [via comm] ...What do you make of this? I would love to hear your thoughts as a doctor.
Faust: I see... Very well. Please give me more details regarding the symptoms.
Haehyun: The residents' body temperatures are increasing day by day. In just the past few days, it's gone up 0.002.
Faust: And you're referring to ALL the residents? I need more details; climate, any known viruses going around, and the position of the stars if possible.
Haehyun: Oh, I was half-expecting you to laugh at me. I guess Mr. J wasn't joking about your reliability. As you might've already guessed, I haven't found a correlation with any external factors. Furthermore, the increase in temperature doesn't account for the rapid increase in their metabolism.
Faust: I-It's progressed that far... That means the treatment I gave May is no longer effective. It seems I need to prioritize confirming my hypothesis rather than examining any patients...
Haehyun: Hypothesis? What do you mean?
Faust: At the very least, I can tell you it's not something you'll find in any textbook. Magic or not. Please report the patients' conditions to me if there are any changes. If it's urgent, I will give you instructions remotely.
Haehyun: What are you going to do?
Faust: Find a cure! I have a hunch...that it's in an ancient book I've seen before.

Potemkin

Intro
Narrator: Although the initial crisis was averted, the mysteries surrounding the incidents have not been unraveled. Constantly running from the subsequent disasters, a dark gloomy shadow was cast over his very being.
November 6th, 2187 (Gabriel's Office)
Gabriel: There you have it. I've already talked to the King. You're going to the Opera House, to investigate the Conclave's old hideout.
Potemkin: [without helmet] Mmm... with the Conclave gone, it feels weird to investigate this so... silently. Is this simply a precaution...?
Gabriel: It includes... "that."
Potemkin: Of course... Roger that.
Gabriel: ...Wait.
Potemkin: ?
Gabriel: What happened to your ambition?
Potemkin: It won't affect the mission.
Gabriel: Potemkin, my child... A warrior who loses a match is second-rate. But one who loses to himself, is third. But a first-rate soldier... has experienced both of these.
Potemkin: ...Mr. President.
Gabriel: Consider overcoming your own cloud as part of this mission. Surely the King will surely have an answer for you.
November 6th, 2187
Potemkin: I've made the President worry about my well-being... Perhaps I am not a warrior anymore.
?????: But that's okay, right? I mean, you're little more than a paper-pusher right now, anyway...
Potemkin: Wha...?! You're--!
?????: Pouting isn't going to solve anything, you know? What is it you want? Trust? Praise?
Potemkin: I wish for nothing in return.
?????: That's what some would call "self-serving." You honestly don't care what effect your actions may have on others?
Potemkin: No...
?????: No, what...? Then, what do you want? You can't forgive yourself for being utterly humiliated by Bedman and Ramlethal... If you're weak, no one will accept you. Is that it?
Potemkin: ... Exactly. In the end, I wasn't aware of what was truly bothering me. But first, I at least must become second-rate!
[Fight ensues.]
?????: Not bad... Considering the way of life you've chosen, you don't need to think TOO deeply about things. Try to keep that in mind.
Potemkin: You're right... I'm not clever enough to be thinking about what others do. Perhaps I need to start trusting myself more before I expect others to.
November 7th, 2187 (Opera House)
Ky: The Opera House... I can't believe this facility was camouflaged here all along. If only I can find out something about the Conclave's intentions...
Potemkin: Really? The king, here alone?
Ky: Potemkin...
Potemkin: You didn't bring much in the way of support...for infiltrating your enemy's headquarters.
Ky: It shames me to admit this, but we have yet to identify the Conclave's operatives. For this mission, I am limited to those operatives I trust the most.
Potemkin: That's not all... I think it's extremely risky for you to be sharing information with a country you're technically at odds with.
[Conversation proceeds as in Ky's Episode. Fight ensues.]
Potemkin: I should've known that you wouldn't take me seriously by doing things this way.
Ky: What's gotten into you?
Potemkin: It is my sworn duty to protect my President...and my nation. Yet a few days ago, I suffered a humiliating defeat. Is this truly the limit of my strength...?
Ky: Humiliating...? That's not true, you're--
Potemkin: I know... It seems I've been overthinking things all along. In serving my country, I thought I was an impenetrable wall... An idea I never wavered believing in. To be that, I needed his trust. But trust isn't asked for, it's earned. As long as I am here, as long as I am strong, I will continue to try and earn it. Some may see this as being self-serving, but I no longer care...
Ky: Potemkin...
Ending
Ky: Honestly, I'm truly glad I asked you to come here today.
Potemkin: That is why you summoned me?
Ky: I will tell you everything I know about the recent incidents. Let us join together to become an unwavering force of hope.
Potemkin: Of course.
[They shake hands.]

Chipp

Intro
Narrator: The Conclave's plans got thwarted by Sol and gang. However, Chipp ponders on the turn of events as the world recovers.
November 6th, 2187 (Eastern Chipp Kingdom)
Answer: [to comm] Of course. If you spot him, please contact me at this number right away. We will take the appropiate course of action. Yes, that's correct. Our Bos-- err, President. I must apologize far in advance, but I fear he will visit one of your facilities very soon. That's quite alright. As long as it's within reason, you can kill him... a little. Yes. Thank you very much for your... Excuse me? Naturally, we are doing everything we can to establish our nation as a valued member of this world economy... [bows] There's no need for that... We will change our policies to ensure this never happens again... We humbly ask for your pardon on this one occasion. Absolutely. Now, if you'll excuse me. [ends call] That piece of--!
[Elsewhere.]
Chipp: Something's wrong... Government PR is one thing, but why's the public bending the truth with the Conclave's case... I sense some shenanigans...
November 6th, 2187 (Opera House)
Chipp: Yo. It's me.
Answer: [via comm] You smarmy bastard! "Mister" President! And don't you "yo" me! Where on earth are you?!
Chipp: One of the Conclave's hideouts. They have some seriously troubling documents here. I'm getting a headache just skimming them. I should've brought you with me.
Answer: Well, if you didn't ignore all of my calls before you left, we wouldn't be in this situation, now would we? But that doesn't matter now... Get out of there at once! And I mean at Mach speed!
Chipp: ...Huh?
Answer: You're no longer in our territory! For the sake of your country, at least try to summon the diplomacy of a fifth-grader.
Chipp: Don't be so uptight. And anyway, it looks like my hunch was right on the money. This mystery is far from being over.
Answer: Huh?
Chipp: There's more going on here than meets the eye. Someone else is pulling the Conclave's strings. They played right into that person's hands.
Answer: If you're right, then this surely involves Justice in some way. What you're describing could affect the entire human race...
Chipp: That's what I'm getting at. I'll snoop around a bit more, but I need you to look into "something" for me.
Answer: "Something"?
November 7th, 2187 (Opera House)
[Conversation proceeds as in Ky's Episode.]
Chipp: Opus units exist to protect humanity from outside threats. They're seen as fortresses, giving citizens around the world peace of mind. And you'd dare to take that away from the nations who need them most?
Ky: ...
Chipp: Smaller nations would grovel at the doorstep of the U.N. begging for order, which they'd fail to ensure. Riots or even a civil war would be certain. So wake up! Your idea of "safety" would doom the rest of us!
[Fight ensues. Ky's hair is undone.]
Chipp: Stop! Sorry about testing you like this. I wasn't serious just now, by the way.
Ky: Huh? Then why did you—?
Chipp: The real culprit behind all of these events is still around, right? I needed to see the strength of your resolve with my own eyes. I worry about the day your authority is no longer recognized by the Sanctus Maximus Populi.
Ky: —? I think they'll come to inderstand in time. And you may be right-- all the governments must be in agreement about disarming th Opus units. However...
Chipp: Damnit, that's not what I meant. Let me try again...
Ky: —?
Chipp: What the hell is this "Universal Will" thing?

Ky: —?! Where did you learn that name?

Chipp: Just poked around a little; it wasn't too hard to find. I also know it's responsible for this last series of attacks. People talk about this Universal Will like it's some kind of natural force. But I don't buy it... Whoever's behind it all must really hate humans. I mean HATE. Makes me wonder if maybe they're human, too. What do you think?
Ky: ...What?! How dare you! You'd accuse the Sanctus Maximus of having a role in this calamity?! The Sanctus Maximus is a source of hope. The very reason most people are able to wake in the morning. Your accusation would shake the very foundations of our society!
Ending
Chipp: Okay okay, I get it already... I admit that the Sanctus Maximus being involved was a bit of stretch, sure... But then, who's using Bedman right now? How do they even communicate with one another? Why wouldn't this person try to assimilate to the society they're trying so damn hard to destroy?
Ky: Th-That's...!
Chipp: You're the king of Illyria—scratch that, you're the leader of the entire world. You can't ever stop looking at things objectively. And be prepared for whatever comes your way... If you ever run across someone you find suspect, ask them, "Do you like human beings?" [jumps and disappears]
Ky: ...
[Elsewhere.]
Chipp: (What now? How would you act if I were the enemy? What's your next move...?)

Narrator: After dying and undergoing an incomplete resurrection, Zato's heart has forgotten all of its emotion. But he has vowed to become stronger, that he may protect the one entity that is capable of stirring his emotion -- Millia.
November 7th, 2187 (Villa Vampir)
Slayer: [tending to a fire] Sorry to make you join me.
Zato: Please do not worry. This has great significance for me, as well. I would like to ask you for your instruction.
Slayer: Oh? In what?
Zato: Long ago, I've felt power in the most dire circumstances. My desire not to give up... But now, I can hardly expect that emotion to apply any positive effects upon me. Win or lose, all I feel is "que sera sera." On the contrary, [Eddie forms around his shoulder] I feel confident I can use exactly 100% of my current strength. Of the two... which do you think is stronger?
Slayer: I see... your question is extremely zen.
Zato: ?
Slayer: The student asks, and the master learns. This will be interesting.
November 11th, 2187
Zato: Though we may only be training, I will not hold back. If that is a problem for you, you do not have to stay.
Millia: Don't worry about me.
Zato: ...Millia, I wish to become stronger in order to protect you. For me, it is necessary. But why do you fight?
Millia: Good question... I'm trying to find an answer for it myself.
Zato: So, you seek answers in battle...
[Fight ensues.]
Zato: Impressive. Your technique has only improved with time.
Millia: I appreciate your attempt at flattery, but I thought I told you we were beyond that...?
Zato: It was hardly flattery.
Millia: Perhaps your emotions are coming back, after all. First you try to BS me, and now you lie straight out.
Zato: ...I don't want you fighting on the battlefield.
Millia: ...
Zato: The only passion I still feel after losing my emotions...is my desire to protect you and keep you safe. So why don't we return to a more normal--
Millia: So, I need to be protected... That actually kind of hurts.
Zato: ... You do not wish to have my protection?
Millia: That's not it... Not at all...
Zato: You're suggesting there are other ways to place value on one's self other than your life? I see... Perhaps I am the same. Then there is no need to say anything more.
November 14th, 2187
Slayer: Is Millia going to be okay?
Zato: I cannot determine whether a person is "good" or not. So, I have no right to tell someone to feel anything other than what they are. With that said, I can only affirm that Millia "is", and do my best to protect her.
Slayer: ... Do you believe that a life devoid of emotions is the same as being unhappy? Or is having a single reason to live enough to satisfy you?
Zato: I do not comprehend the concept of satisfaction. And I wouldn't say I was unhappy... No more than when I was trapped in that endless void. Sir Slayer... I'm sure you understand. You live in a world without a single inconvenience. Then, all of a sudden, you lose just a single thing. Would that mean you'd suddenly become unhappy?
Slayer: Hmm... Perhaps we might just find an answer to that together.
[Fight ensues.]
Slayer: I'm astonished. In that last moment, I do believe you've surpassed me.
Zato: You jest. If we had not stopped at that moment you would have easily destroyed me.
Slayer: I thought my inital power would suffice. In that final moment, it seemed to me like you found something.
Zato: I wonder... Yes, a contradiction.
Slayer: Contradiction?
Ending
Zato: During our fight, I felt that if my full strength wasn't enough to overcome you, then I might as well not be using any of it. Which is why I've come to the realization that I cannot defeat you. However, this is not always the case in the battles of men. I have often seen instances when the cornered mouse bites the cat. To me, it meant that I wasn't protecting Millia with all of my strength. In that moment, my body moved faster than my mind could react.
Slayer: ...Brilliant!
Zato: ?
Slayer: Now listen, Zato. This is something a normal human would do without thinking. But you... You've gained immense knowledge, but at the same time reverted to being a child. Just one thing to satisfy you... You might end up being the greatest hope for those of us who cannot die.
Zato: ...Me?

Millia

Intro
Narrator: The incident that shook the world to its very core... and Zato's revival. Amidst this whirlwind of drama surrounding her, her heart did not know how to cope.
November 7th, 2187 (Villa Vampir)
Slayer: Now, how about we get ready...?
Millia: Is that all you boys think about? Now you're out for revenge?
Slayer: I'm not acting my age? Well... It's hard to apply human logic to one who isn't.
Millia: You have no morals or perception. Like a child...
Slayer: Haha, you've got me there.
Venom: That's not all... Millia, our entire organization was defeated by Bedman, alone. This places us in a rather difficult position.
Millia: Not like anyone saw us...
Slayer: Zato. What are you going to do?
Zato: ...Right... I really couldn't care.
Millia: Whatever, I'll play along.
I'm incredibly weak right now, and feel unable to do anything about it. It's hard to accept. For now, just shut up and fight.
So why don't we return to a more normal--
Millia: Stop right there.
Zato: ?
Millia: What exactly is "normal"... to you? These past few years, I tried to lead a so-called "normal" life. Peaceful days without a care in the world. My neighbors were always smiling and full of joy. I'd say it was truly a "happy" life. I would hardly call that normal... For me, anyway.
Zato: ...
Millia: Right now, I can't even begin to understand these emotions I feel. I though that if I played along with your little revenge scheme, I might learn something...
Zato: And have you? Learned something...?
Millia: I don't know. But right now, I need to keep moving forward.
November 12th, 2187
Slayer: You seem troubled.
Millia: Mind your own business.
Slayer: I agree with Zato. You should not be fighting.
Millia: Because I'm too weak?
Slayer: Pardon me for being so blunt, but that's exactly right. As you pointed out, we have no morals. If you were ever exposed to any kind of danger, we would not be able to fight to our fullest potential. And though we might face defeat, it is not in the nature of "dumb males" to make excuses.
Millia: ...!
Slayer: But perhaps I'll be able to put one of those doubts to rest...
Millia: Huh?
Slayer: Prepare yourself. I'm afraid I won't be holding back.
[Fight ensues.]
Millia: Was that the real you, Slayer...? After all that talk about not holding back... You didn't even pretend to try.
Slayer: Yes and no. While I didn't fight with all of my strength, I really didn't hold myself back. You, of all people, should understand this.
Millia: ... You've made your point. I didn't realize how far apart our powers were until right now. You ate all of my attacks as though you trying to provoke me go go further... You're right. I'd only be in the way.
Slayer: Ah-ah-ah!
Millia: Huh?
Slayer: When you realized your attacks had no effect, you sensed something. What was it?
Millia: ...
Slayer: It's time you were honest with yourself. Do you really want to lead a so-called "normal" life? If you are truly resolved to pursuit such a thing, I will never again question your decision.
Millia: I'm... I...! I just don't want to be left behind!
Ending
Millia: [at the balcony, to herself] I understand now... Normal for me was life in the guild. It was only during my time there that I felt as if my soul returned. No matter how detestable things were at times... The time I spent there and the people I met. Those thoughts and memories cannot be erased. Nor can the sins of the crimes I've committed... But there's no returning to that dark void. Because I... I'm going to create a place for others to return. I will be the next leader of the Assassin's Guild.

Axl

Intro
Narrator: "I have to return to my timeline..." Axl was motivated by that thought, and that thought alone. His only lead -- his glimmer of hope to make this true was I-No's powers.
November 7th, 2187
Axl: She said she can travel through time freely... and even send people to a different time. Which means, I can go back to my original timeline! But what do I need to do...? How do I see her again? If only that old man would just pop up again... Suppose there's no use thinking about it. I need to do this the old fashioned way.
November 15th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Axl: It's you! I mean, I can't believe it... Live and in person!
I-No: Yes? Oh it's...you. What are you doing here?
Axl: Ah, yes, that... The thing is, I'm not really sure myself. I kinda sorta know...? Maybe...?
I-No: Wha-?!
Axl: So, umm... I hate to be a pain in the ass, but you have to send me back to my own timeline!
I-No: Get in line. I have more important things to deal with right now.
Axl: P-Please! There's no one else I can go to!
I-No: Ugh, now you're pissing me off! Time to go bye-bye--
[Fight ensues.]
Axl: Argh! Why are we always going at each other?! I just want to go back to where and when I belong, but you've got me running in circles. Seriously, if you can't do it, just say so!
I-No: ... I can't do it.
Axl: Huh?
I-No: More accurately, I can't send YOU back into the past.
Axl: Wh-What is THAT supposed to mean?!
I-No: Because the past you want to return to has no recollection of this world. You're a vagabond, just like me... No future, no past. To be honest, I don't even know what you'd call us.
Axl: Wh-What are you going on about?
VS Jack-O'
Jack-O': Yo, I-noes!
I-No: !!!
Jack-O': You followed me all the way here?! I was going to go back eventually...
I-No: Tch...! Hey, pretty boy! We'll continue this conversation later. But for now, get the hell out of my way!
Axl: I'm not sure what's going on here, but... you're trying to capture her, right? Let me help you out. If everything goes well, you tell me the rest of the story. Deal?
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owwwie!
Axl: Alright! Bloody brilliant! Now, stay put! And sorry for being so rough. So, What'cha think? I did pretty good, yeah?
I-No: Adequate. Now, keep an eye on her.
Jack-O': *Grumble grumble* Oh, Axl... She doesn't have ALL the answers, you know?
Axl: Huh?
Jack-O': I-Noes doesn't know everything... I bet she doesn't even really understand herself. "He" is pretty mean, so he probably didn't bother to tell her, either.
I-No: What the hell are you talkin' about...?!
Jack-O': Aw, you're so clueless. [gives I-No a vision]
I-No: What the--?! What the hell was THAT?! That vision made no sense... I was the world itself?
Jack-O': Yup. That's the real you. [voice changes] You're both a necessity to the world as well as a horrible mistake. Axl Low... The same goes for you.
Axl: Huh? What do you mean by that?
Jack-O': You don't belong in this world. You're merely a tenuous lifeform, a "possibility" spun out of a broken future. That's your existence in a nutshell, Axl Low. I-No's individual ID, which was created outside the understandings of this world, and yours somehow overlapped through a freak miracle. That's why all of the irregular laws that were applied to her are also being applied to you. Yes, let's see... it's like a Shogi piece that managed to wander onto a chess board. You have the potential to seriously disrupt this world. Heck, you could destroy everything if you really wanted to. That's why the Universal Will fears you.
Axl: H-Hold on a sec... You're saying I'm not from this world?! I don't get it! What the hell is going on?! You mean I can't go back to my own time or something?!
Jack-O': Well, you are able to access "any" world... So it's not impossible. However! If you do use your...irregular...powers, this world just becomes another possibility. Poof! Gone in a flash.
Axl: Y-You've gotta be kidding me...
Ending
Axl: What the hell am I supposed to do...? No matter what I decide on, it'll be like I'm running away from something...
I-No: What's wrong with running away?
Axl: Huh?
I-No: You've run away countless times in the past, discarding possiblity after possibility.
Axl: D-Discarding... That's not fair! You don't know anything!
I-No: Actually, I do.
Axl: ...
I-No: You played with time to save someone. At first, it was just to see that person smile and say "thank you." That was good enough at the start. But do it enough times, and... Well, the person you saved and those that continue to suffer become different people to you. Once you start viewing things though that lens, reality just becomes ain to a piece of fiction you wrote. You lose all sense of value. That's why I stopped trying to change things...
Axl: You...
I-No: It's time for me to go. Finding new ways to use this irregular power sounds like a lot of fun. And if you ever feel like leading a more debauched and dishonest life, look me up. Next time, I'll be sure to welcome you...properly.

Johnny

Intro
Narrator: The Jellyfish Pirates head to the Japanese Colony in hopes of finding a cure for May's worsening condition. At the same time, there were bizarre occurrences witnessed in the colonies.
November 11th, 2187 (May Ship II)
Johnny: [to comm] Hahaha! Yeah, I'm pretty sure you went down first! What? You're making that up. Sounds good. Yeah, I'll see you at the Colony. You can meet up with the Doctor there. [ends call] Alright, you ready? Time to depart!
May: [saluting alongside April] Locked and loaded!
Johnny: Boy it's been a while. I hope he's still doing alright...
May: Hmmm...
Johnny: What's the matter?
May: The person you were talking to... the Tuner, or whatever? I'm just surprised that you have male friends, that's all.
Johnny: C'mon now, what do you take me for...? And that dude with the long hair hangs around sometimes, too, right?
May: Haha. Either way, I haven't seen you get so excited about a job that doesn't pay before. The Tuner costs an arm and a leg, right?
Johnny: We need to pay back a debt to Doctor Faust. We're not holding anything back. I'm sure the Tuner will do a great job at that. And once this is all settled, it's one less thing for me to worry about, too.
May: Yeah!
November 12th, 2187
May: By the way, Johnny...
Johnny: Hm?
May: What is this "Tuner" person, anyway?
Johnny: How do I put this... You know how a guitar sounds its best when perfectly in tume, right? If it's out of tune, not even the best guitarist in the world can make it sound anything but bad. This theory can be applied to other things in life. Like human beings... If they're out of sorts, they can't realize their full potential, or worse, they could become ill.
May: I see...
Johnny: So our friend, the Tuner, diagnoses the tuning of all things and helps put them back in order.
May: Whoa, that's pretty amazing!
Johnny: It's amazing, all right... It's a rare skill that few people in the world possess anymore...
November 18th, 2187 (Japanese Colony)
Leo: Wha--!? You guys are...!
Johnny: S-Second King...? Fancy seeing you here, partner.
Leo: U-Um... [acting] Gah! If it isn't the pirate band that's been disturbing the peace in the Pacific! I'm tired of seeing you roam free! Accept your fate, and surrender peacefully! [clashes swords with Johnny]
Johnny: [whispers] Aw man... Sir, I know you've got your reasons too, but we're in a bit of a hurry. Maybe you can look the other way this time?
Leo: [whispers] If it weren't for the presence of my subordinates, I might've considered it, but I can't exactly write "looked the other way" in my report, now can I?
Johnny: But anyway... What brings you here? Does it have anything to do with what's happening in the Colony?
Leo: "What's happening...?" Do you know something? That certainly will make things easier! If you pretend to be captured, I will allow you to accompany me.
Johnny: Oh brother... You owe me.
Leo: Very well, then we have a deal. Time to be captured. [is pushed back by Johnny; acting again:] It's the end of the line, you pesky, thieving pirates!
Johnny: Huh?! H-Hold up a sec...
Leo: What?
Johnny: You're about to capture THE Johnny of the Seven Seas, and "pesky" is the best you can come up with?! Act or not, I can't let that slide!
Leo: Wha--!? Seriously?!
[Fight ensues.]
Leo: [panting] You bastard... You're supposed...to be...under arrest...
Johnny: You've done screwed up, son. NEVER insult the magnificent Johnny. Best you remember that.
Johnny: I asked him to come here and investigate. I caught wind of something strange happening with the residents...
Haehyun: And, of course, it's my duty to tune whatever I can to the best of my abilities. However, that is all I am capable of... To be honest, I am currently at a loss at what to do... No amount of tuning will help here.
Ending
Johnny: What do you mean?
Haehyun: I'm not a doctor. I can prevent an illness before it occurs, but curing a disease is a different matter altogether. But if I can determine the cause of this anomaly, I might be able to disrupt its progress and slow the symptoms.
Johnny: So we'll need the doc to show up, after all... He should be here any minute.
Haehyun: Don't forget about all of the guards around here. I doubt he'd be able to just walk into the Colony. Any way you can get in touch with him...subtly? I fear that we don't have much time to waste in this matter...
Johnny: And here I thought that things woud be over and done with the fall of the Conclave... Could they still be involved in what's happening now?

Venom

Intro
Narrator: World castastrophe. Zato's sudden revival. In the rapid unfolding of surrounding events, Zato worries for his organization's future.
November 7th, 2187 (Villa Vampir)
Slayer: Time to get started.
Venom: Would it be alright for me to join you, sir?
Slayer: I welcome it! Might this have something to do with... the organization's dignity?
Venom: Of course. Lord Zato placed me in charge of the organization. I cannot possibly let the world belittle our existence.
Slayer: You would put that to the test... by defeating Bedman?
Venom: ...I'm not sure. This may sound odd to you, but... I am personally rather glad we were defeated by Bedman.
Slayer: Oh?
Venom: It gave me the opportunity to realize what it meant to... "protect the organization"...
Slayer: I see. Well, I would love to hear more...
Venom: I shall answer it within the game.
November 8th, 2187
Venom: There is something I need to ask you.
Millia: Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise.
Venom: We find ourselves in this eternal quarrel... Any attempt at conversation would only serve to hinder our understanding of each other. So I first wish to show you my resolve before I continue.
Millia: That look on your face... I'm curious to hear what this is about.
[Fight ensues.]
Millia: You can't be serious. Your fighting style...
Venom: Regardless, I do believe you now understand how I felt deep down.
Millia: ...How ironic. We both came up thought the same organization. It's as if our conversations bear more weight when we use fists over words. But are you really serious?
Venom: I am the head of the guild. This is something only I can do.
Millia: Fine... Suit yourself.
Venom: I am in your debt. Please look after Lord Zato, as well.
Millia: ...
November 9th, 2187 (Villa Vampir)
Slayer: Sorry to keep you waiting. Now, why don't you tell me why you keep fighting?
Venom: It'd be easy enough to tell you of my plans. Then I'm fairly certain you'd tell me "godspeed" and that would be the end of it. However, I'm afraid I'm going to need a bit more than that. That is why I feel it's only appropiate that I show you the strength of my resolve.
Slayer: Come, then. I look forward to it.
[Fight ensues.]
Slayer: This is your true power...? I've always had a high opinion of your abilities, but... ...Right now, I'm more impressed wth your heart. Your drive is unstoppable.
Ending
Slayer: What could possibly motivate you so?
Venom: As assassins, we have done many things for which we'll never be forgiven. Nor should we be... However, I fear for those who have dedicated their lives to our organization... That their accomplishments will be lost to history. Which is why I want to expose what we've done to the world, and show the public our organization's role in affairs.
Slayer: And you believe that will save the soul of this organization? You realize the implications are--
Venom: I am well-aware.
Slayer: ...Fascinating. Perhaps I should lend you a hand in bringing about this end?
Venom: I'd appreciate that very much.

Dizzy

Intro
Narrator: With Sol's help, Ky managed to undermine the Conclave's plot for world domination. However, that was merely the opening act to an even bigger conspiracy. Ky knew that a greater battle awaited him, and though he tried to hide it, Dizzy could clearly see the fear in his eyes.
Nov 5th, 2187
Ky: [inspecting the Thunderseal] I had no idea it could regenerate...
Dizzy: [approaches] According to Mr. Paradigm, it's going to take a little while longer. [Ky doesn't answer.] I've never seen you like this before. It's like you've been drained of resolve.
Ky: Is that what I look like right now?
Dizzy: I feel sorry for your sword when you look at it with such sad eyes.
["Freesia" starts playing.]
Ky: When did my sword get so short? Not long ago, it felt as though the entire world was within my reach...
Dizzy: ...Do you remember the day we first met? Let me tell you what you told me then. "I will cut you down." ["Freesia" stops; fade to black]
Flashback
Dizzy: Do Gears...not deserve to live? My-- This power...is nothing more than the power to destroy. Please, tell me... Does being prepared to protect someone...mean being prepared to hurt someone else?
Ky: That's not an easy question... And one I fear mankind is too young to definitely answer.. But there is one thing of which I am certain. A world in which no one hurts one another... Is not a world in which no one gets hurt. Rather, I do not consider a world without the burden of pain to be...human. Which is why I always question the value of the power gained from hurting others. We all must.
Dizzy: The value of power...
Ky: The moment people stop questioning themselves... Is the moment they stop realizing they're hurting someone else. That, to me, is more frightening than any physical wound.
Dizzy: You have such a strong heart... I wish I did, too.
Ky: Perhaps you feel that way because you don't have a chair in your heart.
Dizzy: A chair...?
Ky: It's hard to have a deep conversion while standing, right? Which is why... I will cut you down.
Dizzy: Huh?
[Fight ensues.]
Ky: [lying on the ground] You need to run. More men are coming.
Dizzy: ...Why!? You had many opportunities to finish me. Why didn't you?
Ky: Heh heh... You just reminded me of someone... "Bend your words, and you bend the emotion that you wished to convey." I wanted to show you... That some humans are able to handle your power.
[Dizzy has tears in her eyes.]
VS Ky
Dizzy: That's what you told me. Power is not measured in size. At times, the word of a hundred will not reach a lone dictator, yet the words of an individual can inspire hundreds. Power comes in all shapes and sizes. What's most important is what lies behind it. [transforms] Right now, my "power" has meaning.
Ky: You're right.
Ending
Ky: [is kneeling down] You've gotten stronger.
Dizzy: That's because I have a chair in my heart now... So that you can come home anytime you want, and sit down. [offers her hand]
Ky: [takes her hand] Thank you.

Slayer

Intro
Narrator: Slayer suffered an embarrassing defeat to Bedman in the series of incidents prior. Right now, he somehow found joy in the events that transpired.
November 7th, 2187 (Villa Vampir)
Slayer: This is going to be a straight revenge-match. In accordance with ancient practice, I must go train.
Zato: Is it that time? Nonetheless, Slayer... You have rather strange tastes. You don't want to know the best strategy for Bedman?
Slayer: Call it my ego. It's like avoiding all information you can on an upcoming novel.
Zato: I've known you for quite a while, but I've never seen you fight for anything other than entertainment.
Slayer: The word death means nothing to me. As long as I have some time to put my affairs in order, I may perish at any moment. I'm sure you understand. Like me, you don't know the meaning of "surprise" anymore. But once in a blue moon, a human being will show up. One that can defeat me... I'm not talking about Gears or other creatures. Human. It's hard to not get excited.
Zato: Excited... I'm afraid that right now... that emotion means nothing to me. I am, however, curious about a vampires' true power.
Slayer: Very well. How about we search for it together?
November 10th, 2187
Slayer: I didn't expect you to become involved in my training.
Millia: Your tone was rather condescending. ...Perhaps I'm too weak for you?
Slayer: You already know the answer. Everyone around you wants you to lead a normal, uneventful life.
Millia: ...Define "normal." I'd appreciate it if you'd all stop butting into my life.
Slayer: Sadly, I do not possess the ability to lead others down the right path. But perhaps I can shine some light in this darkened alley, so at least you know where it is you stand.
Millia: ...Huh?
Slayer: Or maybe I should let things stay as they are? However, I cannot bring myself to let you wander blindly in the dark any longer. Blame it on my ego. But in the end, it is you who must decide.
Millia: I accept your challenge.
In the end, the only path I can be sure is the right one... leads to the Assassin's Guild.
Slayer: ...I won't deny that a part of me wishes that you'd find happiness leading a more normal life.
November 14th, 2187
Slayer: It seems that I have finally found my groove, as it were. I would be honored if you helped me in the last phase.
Zato: Very well. I have two difficulty settings... You can choose between, "Please stroke my ego" or, "Wait... we're friends, right?" Which would you like?
Slayer: Attack me as if you truly wished to see me dead. As though you'd destroy Slayer!
Zato: Understood.
[Fight ensues.]
Zato: Will that suffice, sir?
Slayer: Hm?
Zato: If we go any farther, there is an extremely high chance that Zato One will be annihilated. I do not wish to disappoint you, but this is as far as I can go.
Slayer: Sorry about that. And thanks for being such a good sport about this. I think I've regained my touch.
Zato: As you are now, I do not believe that Bedman stands a chance against you.
Slayer: I wouldn't write him off so quickly. That young man most likely still has some tricks up his sleeve.
Ending
Slayer: [surrounded by purple aura] Still... I was hoping to keep this power dormant until I had to face Sol.
Zato: ...
Slayer: Hm? Is something the matter?
Zato: I think this has been a good day for me... I've encountered a number of rare occurrences. I do not believe I've ever seen you laugh that way, either.
Slayer: Laugh...? I think you're mistaken, Zato... My blood is boiling with renewed vigor!

I-No

Intro
Narrator: No matter how many times she repeats history, the future always converges on a single point. Nonetheless, the closed worlds were slowly beginning to show signs of change. Perhaps the "tomorrow" she sought lies beyond?
November 6th, 2187
I-No: [releases Jack-O' from the Sanctuary] Good morning.
Jack-O': Hey, I-Noes! G'morning!
I-No: I woke you up a little earlier than planned, but how are you feeling?
Jack-O': Hmm... My head still feels a little hazy. I'm gonna go get some fresh air.
I-No: Huh? W-Wait a second, you're supposed to stay here with me...! You have to wait for someone to pick you up.
Jack-O': I don't like it here. It's so dark.
I-No: Tch... this is no time to be picky. Just stay put.
Jack-O': That's booooring. Buh-bye!
I-No: Wha-!? Wait a sec-! [to comm] Raven. Jack-O' just took off! Oh shut up, I know that. I'm going after her. You better back me up!
November 15th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
I-No: I think she went this way...
Axl: It's you! I mean, I can't believe it... Live and in person!
[Conversation proceeds as in Axl's Episode.]
VS Jack-O'
Jack-O': Yo, I-noes!
I-No: !!!
Jack-O': You followed me all the way here?! I was going to go back eventually...
I-No: Tch...! Hey, pretty boy! We'll continue this conversation later. But for now, get the hell out of my way!
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owwwie!
I-No: Tch. Thanks for wasting my time. You're still unstable. The more you move around, the more stress you put on yourself. You get that?
Jack-O': Awww... YOU'RE still unstable, too!
I-No: --?
Jack-O': I-Noes, you don't know much about yourself, do you? "He" is pretty mean, so he probably didn't bother to tell her, either.
I-No: What the hell are you talkin' about...?!
Jack-O': Aw, you're so clueless.
Ending
Jack-O': [gives I-No a vision: she sees herself a "mosaic" of scenes from -Sign-] Get it now? That's what you REALLY are.
I-No: Don't mess with me... What the hell was that...?!
Jack-O': Wow, you're still capable of having strong emotions...? [voice changes] Amazing. Sometimes, a random object can become conscious when strong thoughts and memories encounter them. They're referred to as Magical Foci, as I assume you know... During the Crusades, the peoples' desire for a brighter tomorrow was so strong it resulted in the creation of a single Magical Foci. And the "object" on which all of these thoughts were focused...was the Backyard. In short, the whole of creation was focused into a single organism. The Backyard interpreted this as an error that would destroy the world. Which is why it sealed that conscious away in a single human's body, placing within it all the irregularities. That's how it overcame its first crisis. The result of which...was you, I-No.
I-No: What a ridiculous story. I don't believe it for a second.
Jack-O': But just now, you felt it... Right? The reason you're so fixated on something you call "tomorrow" is because of this.
I-No: Heh... Hahaha... HAHAHA! You're telling me my very existence is an irregularity? That Man didn't need my powers for anything. He just wanted to keep me close at hand...?
Jack-O': He can be a little mean sometimes, but he would never use people as pawns. He's trying to save you and Raven. That's the truth.
I-No: Hmph... Well, whatever. This is turning out more interesting than whatever's going on on your side. I'm part of the world... and the world is part of me...?! [grins ominously]

Sin

Intro
Narrator: Sol and co. continue their efforts to retrieve the kidnapped Elphelt, when That Man's subordinate, Raven pays them a visit.
November 9th, 2187 (Illyria Castle)
Sol: Let's go, Sin. Why aren't you ready?
Sin: OK! ...But there isn't much to get ready. I mean, aside from this jackrabbit jerky.
Sol: Same here.
Raven: Flame of Corruption... don't mistake this for a field trip.
Sol: You don't like it? Then, you could start by telling me what you want.
Raven: Hmph...
Sin: ... You know, old man... people have so many names for you. Paradigm calls you Frederick, and now you're the Flame of Corruption...
Raven: ...Naturally. You think the Flame of Corruption is some kind of nickname, don't you? Well, you're wrong. You ask me, "Sol Badguy" is the nickname.
Sin: Huh!? What do you mean?
Sol: ...
Raven: Never mind. Let's continue this on the go.
November 16th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Raven: I-No? Did you find Jack-O'?
I-No: Forget about her. I found something far more interesting.
Raven: Huh? What on earth are you...
I-No: More importantly... [attacks Sol] I'm interested in your "seed."
Raven: Tch... What idiocy did Jack-O' put into your head?
Sin: I really don't know what's going on here, but I need you to get out of the way!
[Fight ensues.]
Sin: Alright! Take that!
I-No: Hmph... I guess I got a little too greedy... Fine. You guys do whatever...for now. [leaves]
Sin: Hey, she's getting away! Man, she always does whatever she wants, doesn't she? Say, old man... what's this "seed" she's talking about?
Sol: Hell if I know. But you sure look like you did...
Raven: I think you're finally starting to realize just how special you are.
Sol: ...It's true that some of the Gear cells inside of me are way too strong. At first, it didn't really bother me...
Raven: That's because you are the Flame of Corruption. The "seed" implanted within you contains power that eternals such as me and I-No crave.
Sol: What's that supposed to mean?
Raven: It would be best if you heard the rest directly from him...
Sin: ...
November 17th, 2187
Jack-O': Hey, Raven! You followed me all the way here? I was hoping to stick around a little longer...
Raven: Don't be like that. I even brought your friend, Sol Badguy, with me.
Jack-O': Sol...? Huh? So that's your name...? I thought it was Fre— Um, I can't seem to recall it.
Raven: You're still confused. I guess it was too soon, after all.
Sin: Sweet! I just have to beat her up, right?
Raven: Gah! You idiot! You're not being asked to beat her up. You're to apprehend her.
Sin: I know, I know... I wouldn't go all-out on a girl, anyway.
Jack-O': Grrr... Now you're just making fun of me! Trick or treat!
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owwwie. Aww, I lost... I guess I'll go home now.
Sin: Is any of this really going to save El?
Raven: Of course. Jack-O' is going to serve as Justice's proverbial lid, in lieu of Elphelt.
Sin: Hmmm...
Raven: What is it now?
Sin: So, what exactly is it you guys are trying to do?
Raven: I don't follow.
Sin: It's just... That Guy everyone keeps going on about is supposed to be evil right? But he's been helping us out ever since that Valentine appeared. Right?
Raven: ...We've just been playing the hand we were dealt. I-No, myself, and even That Man... We just want to see what tomorrow brings.
Sin: Wha--?! You'll all live longer than the rest of us. What more could you want!?
Raven: We have our reasons, but... For example, with I-No... Ah, I got it. Is there something you really, really like to eat?
Sin: Well, duh! I'd want all the steak I could eat. Yeah, I'd want a billion sheets of it!
Raven: Perfect! You can have as much as you want, pile it as high as the sky. I'll just ignore the...asinine...choice of unit...
Sin: Why you--!
Ending
Raven: Now, imagine this: what if you actually HAD to eat all one billion...sheets...of steak? What, then?
Sin: Um... It would probably start to taste bad...
Raven: That's what it feels like when you live too long. Each day begins to lose its savor.
Sin: Huh...? You mean it's tough for you to live every day?
Raven: To counteract that, we all try our best to be human, hoping that one day That Man will find an answer for us.
Sin: What the hell is up with that?! Your fate...kinda sucks.
Raven: One day, humans, who have become social creatures, will travel the same path. That Man is only trying to correct that. Your interruptions only make things harder. But for today, I owe you my thanks. Until next time.
Sin: Humans... The same path?

Raven

Intro
Narrator: Jack-O', the artificial lifeform created to stop Justice's revival, had escaped. After Raven retrieves her, he begins to search for another ally lost along the way.
November 16th, 2187 (Sanctuary)
Raven: Which one are you?
Jack-O': Huh?
Raven: Are you the child or the adult? I can't have you running away on me again.
Jack-O': Oh, that doesn't matter. It's not like I become a child on the inside.
Raven: That's why I ask. You're costing us a lot of energy. And to what end?
Jack-O': ...?
Raven: Revealing that information to I-No early was not part of the plan.
Jack-O': Oh, that? Well, since I woke up earlier, I thought I'd tell her earlier, too! Though I suppose that means the other Jack-O'... Happy Chaos, isn't awake, either.
Raven: Then, in the worst case scenario, does the matter of I-No take precedence? Rather surprising that there's a contingency for if the Flame of Corruption loses...
Jack-O': There's a method to my madness. It's a zero or a one. A gain or a loss. In the very, very end, we need to be prepared. Don't you agree?
Raven: ... You may have made the right decision... But sometimes right isn't good enough. I'm going to find I-No. [Teleports away, and the screen turns red.]
???: Haha... Hahahahaha! Aaahahahaha! Oh, I can't stop laughing. Happy Chaos? I love that! What a great name! I think I'll take it.
VS I-No
I-No: I wasn't expecting the full welcome party. How flattering.
Raven: I'll say this once: Return to the sanctuary.
I-No: Oh, don't worry, I'll stay out of your way.
Raven: That wasn't an answer.
I-No: ... Did you see that @!*&'s face? He'd gone completely to the other side.
Raven: What's bothering you?
I-No: He was the only man for me. And, the only one for you, too... I'd throw everything I had at him, and he'd still be able to raise my bet. What a mad man, he was... But now... Who wouldn't throw a fit if they lost their favorite toy?
Raven: That's how a child thinks.
I-No: Then I'm sorry I'm such a brat!
[Fight ensues.]
Raven: Give it up. In your current state, you're no match for me.
I-No: Current state? Heh, you seem to know an awful lot about me.
Raven: Perhaps not. The I-No I knew would never lose her cool, even if she lost a battle.
I-No: Hah. Maybe you really have reduced me to a child. You gotta be nice to children, right? Especially ones who don't know who they are.
Raven: I admit, Jack-O's actions were...inconsiderate. But there is more to them than you know. Consider That Man's kindness.
I-No: ... Cram your sympathy. I don't need it. This body is spent. And the only goddamn thing I can do about it is throw a fit. But I can still get stronger. The more I'm able to do, the less I'll want to do. The more things I gain, the less things I'll need. [ground trembles]
Raven: I-No! You think I don't share that pain?
I-No: Haven't you noticed yet? Your face... You're on the other side, too.
Raven: ...
Ending
I-No: No matter how shitty things get for me... I've got no intention of throwing away my own will.
Raven: Then is this where we part ways?
I-No: It's not like we were ever friends in the first place. [smiles, but Raven scowls, and she amends] But you might see me around from time to time. [opens a portal and leaves]
Raven: [looks towards the city] "Other side..." she says.

Bedman

Intro
Narrator: The most recent turn of events for which the world holds the Conclave responsible was but a small part in a much grander scheme plotted by the Sanctus Maximus and Bedman. What exactly is the World of Absolution? The curtain was about to rise...
November 13th, 2187 (A Dream)
Bedman: Elphelt Valentine. Why WERE you born with emotions, anyway?
Elphelt: Huh...? You're...
Bedman: Good morning. Though that may not be appropiate, given I'm in your dream.
Elphelt: A dream? This...?
Bedman: Naturally. And, I think it's best if you don't face reality, either. You are about to become the World Tree of the new era. Unlike all the humans who died until now, there's no coming back. So, I thought that this was the least I could do for you.
Elphelt: What are you talking about...? What is mother thinking!?
Bedman: I couldn't say. I would never dare-! Or perhaps... I may just... You see, mother is trying to prevent this entropy of souls from spreading anymore. Humans are social creatures, but that also means their social structure is fragile. A house of cards. The demise of their species is irreversible. They fight. Deceive. Steal. Like it's just what you do. Yes, all these helpless souls need to be recycled and cleansed.
Elphelt: I have no idea what you mean! Correction: I don't even want to know!
VS Elphelt
Elphelt: If you're going to get in Ram's way, then forget about me letting you go.
Bedman: Stop right there. And waking from this dream so abruptly could have very...undesirable...consequences. Well, for you, anyway. You'd spend the rest of your life cursing yourself for it. Now pay attention. In this dream world, I can make any wish of yours a reality. With that said, why not wish for something more meaningful?
Elphelt: Then my wish would be...to defeat you and become free!
[Fight ensues.]
Elphelt: I'm losing...consciousness...?
Bedman: No. You're just waking up. Heading back to reality. How disappointing.
Elphelt: Ah, my head... It feels...strange...
Bedman: Your head...? It can't be-!? The Flames of Corruption!? Impossible... That would mean... This is disconcerting... I'd better look into it. [teleports away]
November 16th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Bedman: (It's coming from this...child?)
Jack-O': Hm? Who're you?
Bedman: (It's not Ramlethal, either...? I've never heard of ths cast member...)
Jack-O': Hey hey, do you have any candy?
Bedman: (Perhaps I'm overthinking things... I should probably just go home.)
Jack-O': Grrr... it's not nice to ignore people, you know? Trick or treat!
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owww... You big meanie!
Bedman: (Is this power from the Backyard? These reading are nonsensical!) (There's something special about this child...)
Jack-O': [adul voice] Search complete. You...erased all of your records? Wow, what a freak. I've never come across anyone with as much knowledge about magic as you... A shame, really. If only we had met before choosing sides, we could've had a nice, long chat.
Bedman: [backs off] (H-How does she know about that?) (Only someone who has already died once, like Zato, should be able to sense that.) (...I can't be--!)
Jack-O': Oh, I get it now. When you're awake, your mind overheats. Your physical memory can't keep up with the speed of your thoughts.
Bedman: (K'uh...!) [teleports away]
Ending
Bedman: [in dream] I can't believe it! That man had a monster like THAT hidden up his sleeve. There's no mistaking it; she's a compatible specimen like Elphelt... Which can only mean one thing. They're trying to beat us to Justice...! They will try to prevent us from achieving our World of Absolution. She's a danger to us all!

Leo

Intro
Narrator: A few days have gone by since the incident that brought the world to its knees. The Second King, Leo Whitefang finds himself buries in piles of paperwork.
November 9th, 2187 (Illyria Castle -- Leo's Office)
Vernon: [via comm] And there you have it. Anything beyond is guarded with air-tight security. This is the best we can do, currently. [untranslated line:] thorougly
Leo: Understood. ...Nonetheless, to have you, Mr. President, inform me of top secret matters of my own country, is... well, is rather odd.
Vernon: Given our circumstances, I fear we don't have the luxury to withhold any information. Besides, according to your reports, Justice is still in enemy hands. This case is far from over. We should thoroughly investigate any areas of particular interest to the Conclave.
Leo: I agree. And I've received a strange report from an outpost in Finland, as well. I believe we shouldn't leave any stone unturned.
Vernon: I long for the days I took a good night's sleep for granted.
Leo: We'll take over the investigtion from here. We'll keep you posted on any findings along the way, so please don't worry about this...
Vernon: Thank you.
Leo: Now, then...
November 16th, 2187 (Japanese Colony)
Faust: Ah...
Leo: Hm?
Chronus: This isn't good...
[Conversation proceeds as in Faust's Episode. Fight ensues.]
Leo: Damnit, they got away...!
Guard: That was an extremely unexpected turn of events...
Leo: ...
Guard: I'm not looking forward to writing a report about this...
Leo: SOLDIER! What just happened now...has nothing to do with our original mission. THEREFORE, there will be no need to include it in our reports. RIGHT?
Guard: I-I don't think it'd be wise to do so, sir...!
Leo: Of course not... To think that Chronus was still alive... Not to mention this place. Looks like President Vernon's suspicions were spot-on... All right, let's head out!
Guard: Sir!
November 18th, 2187
Leo: Wha--!? You guys are...! ...Your timing really sucks.
Johnny: Couldn't agree more.
Guard: S-Sir, that's the leader of the Jellyfish Pirates!
Leo: U-Um... [acting] Gah! If it isn't the pirate band that's been disturbing the peace in the Pacific! I'm tired of seeing you roam free! Accept your fate, and surrender peacefully! [clashes swords with Johnny]
Johnny: [whispers] Not gonna let this slide?
Leo: [whispers] If it weren't for the presence of my subordinates, I might've considered it, but I can't exactly write "looked the other way" in my report, now can I?
Johnny: But anyway... What brings you here? Does it have anything to do with what's happening in the Colony?
Leo: "What's happening...?" You know something... That certainly will make things easier! If you pretend to be captured, I will allow you to accompany me.
Johnny: Oh brother... You owe me.
[Fight ensues.]
Still, what is the meaning of this? We've simply come to collect information on the Conclave, but everyone keeps talking about some kind of disturbance. And to have our presence graced by one of the Tuners...only speaks to the gravity of the situation. Correct?
Haehyun: It is. I think you, too, ought to be informed of the situation at hand. Although our initial findings are inconclusive, at best.
Ending
Leo: Inconclusive...?
Haehyun: That's right. Let's say that the colony's residents are like the ocean. The events we've observed would be the equivalent of throwing a pebble into that ocean.
Leo: Th-That's it!?
Haehyun: Indeed. Now, what if I told you that this pebble was thrown in by some alien for reasons we cannot comprehend?
Leo: Mmm... I find it hard to explain why exactly, but I find the implications disturbing.
Haehyun: Precisely. We know that there is a disturbance, but as it stands we have next to no information about what that disturbance is. I will continue to investigate and analyze all available data. Depending on my findings, I may ask for your nation's assistance...
Leo: What in the world is going on now...?

Ramlethal

Intro
Narrator: Sol and co. continue their efforts to retrieve the kidnapped Elphelt, when That Man's subordinate, Raven pays them a visit.
November 9th, 2187 (Illyria Castle)
Sol: Huh!?
Ramlethal: You're going to save El, right? Then, I'll go too.
Raven: Since when did you become a friend to mankind? You're a doll created from the Universal Will. How can we trust you?
Ramlethal: I don't recall becoming humans' allies... My world isn't that big. You're the one to talk. Whose side are you on?
Sol: Heh heh heh... you know how to talk.
Raven: Hmm. Never mind.
Ramlethal: I don't like you guys.
November 16th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Raven: I-No? Did you find Jack-O'?
I-No: Forget about her. I found something far more interesting.
Raven: Huh? What on earth are you...
I-No: More importantly... [attacks Sol] I'm interested in your "seed."
Sol: "Seed?"
Raven: Tch... What idiocy did Jack-O' put into your head?
Ramlethal: We need Sol in order to save El. If you're trying to hurt him, then I'll stop you.
I-No: Oh...?
[Fight ensues.]
I-No: Hmph... I guess I got a little too greedy... Fine. You guys do whatever...for now. [leaves]
Raven: I have to admit I'm surprised. I didn't expect you to be able to defeat I-No. Is it because you're gaining emotions?
Ramlethal: I am unsure. But the feeling of "I don't want to lose" is definitely different from, "I can't lose." I think...yes. It has changed the way I fight.
Raven: Intriguing.
Ramlethal: —?
Raven: A person whose spirit has withered, and a person who only sees things from a rational viewpoint. Do you know the difference between the two?
Ramlethal: I fail to understand the concept of someone whose spirit has withered. Can emotions...go stale?
Raven: Heh heh heh... Hahahaha! Go stale. That's a good way to put it. You're speaking like a doll.
Ramlethal: —?
Raven: We've wasted enough time. Let's go.
Ramlethal: I just need to capture this person?
Raven: Correct. But whatever you do, do not destroy her.
Ramlethal: ...I do not understand.
Raven: What? If you cannot restrain your power, then I suggest you stay back.
Ramlethal: That's not it.
Raven: —?
Ramlethal: Destroy only applies to inanimate objects, right? Isn't she human?
Raven: For the love of-- She's a doll, just like you. There's no need for you to--
Ramlethal: Still!
Raven: ... I'm sorry, let me rephrase. Do not kill her, and try to detain her with minimal damage.
Ramlethal: Understood.
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owwwie... Aww, I lose. I guess it's time to go home.
Raven: ...
Ending
Raven: Ramlethal.
Ramlethal: What?
Raven: Why were you so hung up on my words before the fight?
Ramlethal: She's "different" for you, right?
Raven: Different? Admittedly, she is of special importance...
Ramlethal: Then, even if she wasn't human...the way you treated her... ...It felt so cold.
Raven: You really are interesting. Could you really be...?
Ramlethal: —?
Raven: No, it's nothing. And thank you. Soon, the World of Absolution will be upon us. If we can stop it, we'll be able to save Elphelt as well. Save her, and you can show me the future of which you dreamed of.
Ramlethal: That goes without saying.
Raven: Hmph. [teleports with Jack-O']
Ramlethal: El... Wait just a little longer.

Elphelt

Intro
Narrator: Elphelt regains the emotions she almost lost. Nevertheless, she has fallen into the hands of the Universal Will.
November 4th, 2187 (A Dream)
St. Maximus: [through the mirror] Finally... this day has come. Oh how many centuries it took for this destiny to be fulfilled... Ah, yes... only human after all. Even this fleeting moment in time feels like an eternity. Just a little more... only a little. Until then, rest well, my child... ...Elphelt.
Elphelt: [wakes up] Where am...I? What have I...? ...Humans... happiness... I'm... woman? That's right! I need to find myself a husband! Huh? But Mother said I couldn't fall in love with anyone... ...Who was my mother again? Oh well!
November 5th, 2187 (Central Organ Tower?)
Elphelt: *Sigh* Everyone always manages to escape in the end. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get married at this rate... Ever...? Wait a—Does something...need me?
System Voice: [Ariels' voice] Situation G in progress. Initiating corrective program.
Elphelt: Wh-What was that voice? [Sol appears.] Oh, Sol! [runs towards him]
???: Yo, Elphelt. Nice weather, huh? A beautiful day like this makes you look even cuter than normal, doesn't it?
Elphelt: Ahh, Sol. You're too much! If I didn't know better, I'd say you were hitting on me!
???: Maybe. Maybe not. For the right woman, my Gear blood would roast them alive!
Elphelt: Yay! All you have to do now is catch me!
???: Bring it on!
[Fight ensues.]
Elphelt: Now now, Sol. You promised. Just sign right here and here...
???: You gotta be shitting me... Well, show me we're not just some ordinary run-of-the-mill couple!
Elphelt: ... Huh? You're not running? Usually, you'd be a million miles away already... And there'd be something about you not being able to love anyone... But that's right...you were special... What was I talking about...?
System Voice: Situation G--correction error.
Bedman: [off-screen] I can't bear to watch this anymore. Let's stop this.
Elphelt: ...Huh?
Bedman: [off-screen] Don't you find it odd? You're so outgoing and friendly with everyone, but at the same time...you push them away. Your current methods will only cause you more pain.
???: If you're tellin' me that that emotion wasn't just some--
Bedman: [off-screen] Quiet, you. [Sol explodes.] *Sigh* This simply won't do...
November 6th, 2187 (Nightmare Theater)
Elphelt: U-Um, you are...? If I recall, you were Ram's enemy... Which makes you MY enemy!! [attacks Bedman, but he teleports behind her]
Bedman: Stop right there.
So let me say... On behalf of us all... Thank you.
Ending
Elphelt: [opens eyes] I remember now... I'm... I'm...! Going to become Justice...!

Jack-O'

Intro
Narrator: With her life, she was given a destiny. She was more than well-aware of this, as she woke up in a dark gloomy room. Nonetheless, the sudden turn of events has left her existence incomplete...
November 6th, 2187
I-No: Good morning.
Jack-O': Hey, I-Noes! G'morning!
I-No: I woke you up a little earlier than planned, but how are you feeling?
Jack-O': Hmm... My head still feels a little hazy. And besides... My memories and personality data are still fragmented and unstable. Over half of my soul hasn't been successfully downloaded from the main body. And, as usual he doesn't mind too much about presentation, so he tends to overlook a lot of finer details. Even geniuses aren't perfect... Maybe that's why he doesn't have many friends. Truly, it irritates me that I cannot contribute to resolving this. I suppose I should feel lucky that there aren't many defects with my bodily functions... Sooo, in the interest of testing myself and assessing this era... ...I'm gonna go get some fresh air!
I-No: Huh? W-Wait a second, you're supposed to stay here with me...! You have to wait for someone to pick you up.
Jack-O': No way! Buh-bye!
November 15th, 2187 (Heaven's Edge)
Jack-O': Wow, it's so pretty! A tomb dedicated to all the "possible" futures. How relaxing... Could it be related to my being the Scales of Juno? Just a little bit more... One final push and I can shut down those skirting the edges of divinity. Still, it's hard to believe that they've managed to make magic so commonplace in this era. But I suppose it's inevitable that mankind will always undergo some kind of technological revolution...
[I-No enters.]
Jack-O': Yo, I-noes!
I-No: !!!
Jack-O': You followed me all the way here?! I was going to go back eventually...
I-No: About time I tracked you down... This is for wasting my time!
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Owww... Hey, that wasn't nice! You'd get into a whole bunch of trouble if I stopped functioning, you know?!
I-No: You're still unstable. The more you move around, the more stress you put on yourself. You get that?
Jack-O': Awww... YOU'RE still unstable, too! I promise I'll go home soon. Just let me play a little longer, okay?
November 17th, 2187
Jack-O': Raven! Are you here to take me back, too? Come on, just give me a little more time, pleeeease?
Raven: Don't be like that. I even brought your friend, Sol Badguy, with me.
Jack-O': Sol...? Huh? So that's your name...? I thought it was Fre— Um, I can't seem to recall it. I wonder why... The name was important for some reason... Also, I needed to tell him something... That's why I'm here... I suppose I can go home with you now.
Raven: All according to plan... Let's go back now.
Jack-O': Sure!
Sol: ... Wait. Take off your mask. Show me your face.
Jack-O': Eh? Okay, but you've gotta give me some candy!
Sol: Candy?
Jack-O': Think of it as a supplement. I haven't really established myself in this plane of existence. If I don't wear the mask, I need some, or else I--
Raven: If we go back now, you won't need any.
Jack-O': Wha--?! You really don't have any? Trick or treaaaat!
[Fight ensues.]
Jack-O': Ow ow ow owwww! But that was super fun, so I'll make an exception for you. Let me show you what's under the mask.
Ending
Jack-O': [takes mask off] I'm Jack-O' Valentine.
Sol: ... Valen...tine...?
Jack-O': Yep. The final version of the Valentine series. I'm 100% compatible with Justice... I'm almost like, half-Aria. Yes... Half... halved? No, that's not it, either.. More accurately, I'm a synthesis of Aria's fragmented memory, designed to overwrite Justice's individual information sectors. Kind of like a physical patch. To restore the Balance of Juno to humanity... I'm sorry about all this. I know this reunion means a lot to you and all, and I'm just a part of... Sorry, I don't remember much about you. But still, I can feel my heart pounding right now. I'm sure the former "me" held you in very high regard.
Sol: I don't believe it... if what you're saying's true, then... you're... Aria was just a body for Justice!? Is that what you're telling me?!
Jack-O': I can feel you spirit, too. It's very... intense. Are you fighting with the Flame of Corruption?
Raven: You have my thanks.
Sol: Wha... Wait-!
[Jack-O' and Raven teleport away.]
Jack-O': Sol Badguy... I see. You're only half complete, too.

Haehyun

Intro
Narrator: With a complete understanding and control of all things material, Haehyun is a master tuner. Hearing there was an incident within the Japanese Colony, she rushed to the scene to investigate.
Nov 12th, 2187 (Jeon Ryok Residence)
Patient: Ah... The pain, it's... It's gone!
Haehyun: That may be, but I have merely suppressed the source of your pain. The rest of your healing is up to your immune system. I suggest you take the rest of the day to rest.
Patient: Of course. Thank you very much! [gets up and leaves]
Da-Eun: Taking off already?
Haehyun: It's a long trip to the Colony, and we have no time to waste.
Da-Eun: Whatever this is must be important.
Haehyun: We'll find out. With the way Letter J was acting, I'm sure it's no laughing matter. Da-Eun... This will be a long and fruitless battle... Will you forgive my selfishness...?
Da-Eun: Selfish? I dare disagree, sir. If it were not for your help, then we would be but rootless wanderers...
Haehyun: Thank you. I leave the rest to you. Now then. [walks away as her main handmaidens look at her] Farewell, and good luck!
Handmaidens: [bowing] Take care, sir!
Nov 18th, 2187 (Colony)
Narrator: Haehyun departed to investigate the Japanese Colony. Her client, Johnny, met her on site. The happiness of the reunion is short lived, however. Haehyun looks towards the town and her expression darkens.
Johnny: This is a nice place. Surrounded by nature, full of good folks. [VS intro.] You reckon somethin' bad's on the way?
Haehyun: Is that why I was summoned?
Johnny: Yeah. Thought you could crack this thing wide open. But listen. I know you got weight on your shoulders. Hate to even bring this up, given that I called you here, but...
Haehyun: What worries you?
Johnny: This ain't about to be sunshine and rainbows.
Haehyun: ... I'd like to ask you something. A few days ago, I received a call from an old friend of mine. I thought it would be a typical call, but he asked me for a favor. He uttered a word I seldom hear from him: "Please." Now, this friend...fools around, loves his booze, and has no intention of settling down any time soon. To him, promises don't mean what they do to others. Lent books generally end up becoming kindling. Generously put, he's a free spirit... The rest of the world, however, might call him a parasite. Yet, this parasite has one ironclad rule. One incredibly dear to him... He doesn't rely on others unless he's truly at his wit's end. So, if you were in my position, what would you do? [They hug.]
Johnny: I owe you one. [takes a few steps back] This is the doctor's number. You best get in touch with him directly.
Ending
Haehyun: Doctor? This is Haehyun. Their fevers are rising again.
Faust: [via comm] Again...? Curses... Back to the drawing board. C-C-Can you confirm any abnormalities with the white blood cells or macrophage? How are their blood levels? We must check the women's' estrogen and progesterone levels, too...!
Haehyun: Settle down. I'm not a doctor. If you want to know about their immune system and their hormones, though, I can help. They're within normal levels.
Faust: Impossible...
Haehyun: I've seen countless fires, even in the places you wouldn't expect. But right now, I'm witnessing black smoke without so much as a spark.
Faust: If anyone left the Colony without permission, they would simply have to stand out among the hoi polloi, right?
Haehyun: The panic in your voice tells me all I need to know. The issue is that the symptoms are occurring simultaneously across the entire population. In other words, if we don't contain the situation, we'll never catch up. I don't know what you're looking for exactly, but whatever it is, you must find it. Our enemy is not this outbreak... It's time.

Jam

Intro
Narrator: She lost her restaurant. Her piggy bank was light. And the man upon whom she'd set her sights...was out of reach. She was frustrated.
???
Jack-O': Hm? ...Who are you?
Jam: A chef. In need of change scenery. Who you? You bounty?
Jack-O': Pleasure to meet you, too...
Jam: In my experience. Half women in this world bounties.
Jack-O': Sometimes I wonder if I was born into the wrong world... So tell me... What does a chef want with a bounty?
Jam: Quick easy money.
Jack-O': ... Then you're not after me, specifically.
Jam: So, what are you?
Jack-O': Just a runaway. Yes... I needed a change of scenery. Like you. Say, why don't we talk for a little while?
???
Jack-O': You said you were looking for easy money... But is there a reason you need it?
Jam: My restaurant was destroy. Third time!
Jack-O': Th-Third!?
Jam: No big deal.
Jack-O': Wow, you're not easily discouraged.
Jam: ... [crouch-kicks her]
Jack-O': Eek! What was that for?
Jam: Did you need reason to stand up again? Only kid stay on ground and keep crying.
Jack-O': ... You're a tough one. I could learn a thing or two from you.
Jam: Teach cost 200 per hour, OK?
[Random fight ensues.]
Jam: Why you run away from home?
Jack-O': No reason in particular. No reason, no purpose... There's a lot I don't have.
Jam: A lot... Is because you're only half human?
Jack-O': Half... How did you know?
Jam: I read you "ki." For some reason, your "ki" is only half of average human.
Jack-O': You're a ki master, too? That's amazing.
Jam: Are you looking for the the other half?
Jack-O': I'm not looking for something that isn't there. I'm looking for something that's supposed to be.
Jam: Huh?
Jack-O': You see. I have nothing. Nothing I would be sad to lose, nothing I worry about, nothing I want... Nothing's all I have. And I find that...strangely unsettling. You're right. People don't need a reason to get up when they're on the ground. But I want to know that the way you do. Right now, all I'm doing is not denying that I exist. But that's different than how you live.
Jam: Mmmm... A most challenging riddle.
Jack-O': Tee-hee... Yes. A riddle.
Jam: ...
???
Jack-O': I will go on my way now. It was a very short while, but I had a lot of fun.
Jam: I put the tour fee on your tab, OK?
Jack-O': You've got so much vitality. I need to try some of that.
Jam: ... The riddle... I know answer.
Jack-O': Huh?
Jam: Just do what normal. Save world.
Jack-O': Everything you say is so eccentric...
Jam: Nothing special. Everyone does it. Eat. Sleep. Play. Oh, and work, too... You need to work to make monies.
Jack-O': How does saving the world play into that?
Jam: You already doing it. You live. As long as you live, the world is there. See? It feels like you're saving world, right? Protecting your daily life. Is protecting own identity. Right?
Jack-O': Is that your philosophy? Interesting... Can a half-human like me really save the world?
Jam: I already say that anyone can do. You fight me!
[Fight ensues. Both are lying on the ground.]
Jam: You understand now?
Jack-O': Ahaha... Um, not really.
Jam: Me neither.
[They stand up.]
Jack-O': But that was kind of refreshing.
Jam: If you don't know reason. There's no need. If animal don't run away fast, they get eaten. If animal chase fast, they get dinner. But people different. The one who run for longer time is stronger. They live. That's why once relieve stress... Return to yourself.
Jack-O': And what's your path back to yourself?
Jam: I am chef.
Jack-O': ... Thank you. [runs off]
Ending
Jam: [while sitting, looks at her delivery box, then stands up] But now I'm back to dish girl.
