The Council of Three is a battle stage introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-. It is described as a place where "Heaven and Earth are inverted, rivers of blood flow like tears, and multiple demons peek out from behind gates of Hell transcending both time and space."[1]

It is Zato-ONE, Asuka, Slayer, and Venom's default stage.

Design

Council of Three follows usual format of Strive stages, having three separate screens or "areas" that are moved between after Wall-Breaks or charged Dust follow ups.

The starting area places the fighters on a bridge across from the titular "Council of Three," who are described as "three demons—each with a separate role and domain."[1] The demon on the left features long horns that stick out on the sides, the demon in the center features horns that curl down the back of its head, and the demon on the right has horns that curve upwards, its left horn extending far further than its right. Each demon is inside a "window" with a frame featuring a blinded head on top. Each frame has arms that are interlocking with the other frames. The demons from left to right are given a background of green, orange and yellow respectively.

Moving to the right, the next area has the two fighters on a rock overseeing buildings that have become flooded by a river of blood. Cathedrals sink in the river, or form together to make wave-like patterns overhead. A small waterfall of blood can be seen spilling out into the river from one of the Cathedrals.

In the final area, more "windows" with demons or statues of demons can be seen. On the left, a statue of a demon can be seen crawling out of its window. Lava can be seen leaking from the skull of the statue. On the right, a statue of a demon with a large scythe can be seen. Light shines out from its window, illuminating the battlefield. The statue lacks a neck, and can be seen oozing purple liquid down from its head to the rest of its body. In the center, many more portraits of demons can be seen, some close enough to be seen and others very far away. They similarly lack necks and are oozing different color liquids to the rest of their body. The demon with the green window can be seen oozing a dark blue liquid, while the demon with the blue window can be seen oozing a bright red liquid.

Trivia
