Cube
The Cube is a structure built by That Man and located within the Backyard.
Story
Acting under the orders of the Universal Will, Valentine sublimates at least forty sealed Gears[1] in an attempt to obtain Justice's Gear cells, which act as the key allowing access to the Cube. One of the Gears affected is Dizzy, Justice's daughter; however, Ky Kiske is able to prevent her disappearance by using the power of the Thunderseal to seal her away in stasis.[2] With her initial effort unsuccessful, Valentine leads her army of Vizuel in a direct attack on the city of Illyria, which results in the city being overwhelmed and Ky sealed within a barrier.[3]
Sin Kiske and Sol Badguy arrive to aid Ky, but as Sin is Dizzy's child, Valentine is able to obtain his cells and use them as a key. She travels to the Backyard and attempts to open the Cube; however, she is ultimately thwarted by Sol, who returns the Cube to its original form and shatters the door to prevent anyone from accessing it.[4] This event eventually becomes known as Baptisma 13.
Traits
The Cube is said to have the power to manipulate the information of the Backyard, allowing it to influence the real world on a universal scale. Its power cannot be accessed without a "key", the Gear cells of Justice.[2] According to Sol, the magic chord signature of the Cube is noticeably That Man's style and strongly resembles the chord signature of Sol's Gear body[5]
