The Tome of Origin is a book that The Original sealed the essence of the Backyard into, long before the events of the Guilty Gear series.
Design
Story
Sometime in 20th century, a man now only known as The Original—who would go on to lay the foundation for what would become the study of magic[1]—discovered the existence of the Backyard. Somehow he managed to enter this realm and return, though he realized that "No evil should touch this place." The Original then sealed all that the Backyard was into a single tome, hoping that mankind would never stumble upon its power.[2]
It is revealed in Strive that Asuka actually fused the Tome of Origin within his body in order to prevent from being given in its wrong hands. This leads Asuka to handcraft a fake version of this Tome to fool Happy Chaos.
