Valentine & Raven's Tribe
The following is a list of servants in Valentine and Raven's Tribe (also referred to as the Vizuel (ヴィズエル, Vizueru?)) from Guilty Gear 2 -Overture-.
Overview
An unusual tribe, Valentine and Raven's army has very powerful, low-cost units with various abilities, but the army mostly consists of support units, requiring it to be played far differently than any other. It is a hard tribe to use, but the second strongest overall.
Although this tribe is imbalanced in soldier types, the servant's individual abilities are excellent. The order in which these servants are contracted is important to their victory.
Story
Background
Brownie was originally the soul of a dead human, but was captured by Valentine and imprisoned in a coffin.[1]
Guilty Gear 2 -Overture-
After Valentine exits the Backyard, she and the Vizuel[2] begin to 'sublimate' Gears[3] in her search for the 'key', the pure Gear cells of Justice present in the Maiden of the Grove, so that she can enter the Cube.[4] In order to reach the Maiden, she leads the Vizuel in an attack on Illyria. During this, a unit of Vizuel end up in Trioria, seperated from the others, where they encounter and are defeated by Sol Badguy, Sin Kiske and Izuna.[5] Following this, the Vizuel report to Valentine about the three.[6] They and Valentine subsequently encounter the three at Illyria Castle[7] and Ganymede, where they also encounter Dr. Paradigm.[8]
After these battles, Valentine leads the Vizuel in an attack on Illyria Castle to obtain the 'key',[4] and, rather than trying to acquire the Maiden of the Grove, kidnaps Sin,[9] who, as the Maiden's son, has inherited her Gear cells, and is therefore a suitable substitute for the 'key'.[2] Having used Paradigm's brainwashed companions and the Vizuel to buy herself time, Valentine teleports to Bel Canto Valley with an unconcious Sin,[2] where she takes the 'key' from Sin's body.[10]
Valentine then leaves a massive army of Vizuel to guard her while she uses the 'key' to enter the depths of the Backyard, but, despite their massive numbers, these Vizuel are defeated by Sin, Ky Kiske, and Illyrian forces.[10]
