Concentration (集中力, Shūchūryoku?) is a unique mechanic for Happy Chaos in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

As well as the Tension gauge and his ammo stock, Happy Chaos has a separate gauge for Concentration - when using At the Ready or Steady Aim, which allow him to use his gun, depletes Concentration over time.

Concentration restores over time when Chaos' gun isn't equipped. Alternatively, he can use Focus or Super Focus to fill it quicker, with the latter filling it fully and making the gauge deplete slower for 5 seconds.

If Concentration fully depletes, the gauge turns red - if Chaos tries to equip his gun with no concentration, he fumbles it around in his hands, thus unable to use his gun until it goes back to full - regardless of how much ammo he has left.

At the Ready (銃を構える, Jū wo Kamaeru?, lit. Gun armed and ready) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Chaos takes out his Crescent Moon pistol. The Heavy Slash version has him quickly take his gun out, while the DownDown RightRight + Slash version has him pistol-whip his opponent, knocking them upwards.
Fire
While in At the Ready, Chaos can move around freely while holding his gun out, can fire with Heavy Slash, and put it away with Down + Heavy Slash. Over time, his Concentration gauge depletes slowly, with each bullet fired taking a big chunk out of it.

Where Chaos shoots is dictated by a blue crosshair - when it fills out and turns blue, the next shot will be a guaranteed hit; if not, there is a high chance that the bullet will miss. However, he can counteract the inaccuracy by hitting his opponent with Curse, if only for a short time.

Steady Aim (しっかり狙いを定める, Shikkari Nerai o Sadameru?, lit. Steadily aiming) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

An alternative to At the Ready, Steady Aim has Chaos hold his gun with both hands. The reticule turns orange instead of blue and automatically locks onto the opponent, even while they're moving.

Each bullet deals more damage - if the reticule is fully focused on the opponent, it can break their guard. However, using Steady Aim rapidly depletes the Concentration gauge, allowing for only 2 - 3 shots before Chaos runs out of concentration.

Additionally, unlike At the Ready, Chaos is unable to move or use other attacks while in this stance.

Reload (リロード, Rirōdo?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Reload
If Chaos has spent bullets, he can quickly reload them one at a time, though it does leave him wide open to attack.

He can stop reloading at any point by simply moving, or using a normal attack.

Focus (フォーカス, Fōkasu?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Focus
Chaos adjusts his glasses, then gets shrouded with a dark aura for a moment. This rapidly refills 30% of his Concentration gauge.

Despite the buff, Focus has a relatively long recovery time, making Chaos vulnerable during the move.

Roll (前転, Zenten?, lit. Forward Roll) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Roll
Chaos tucks into a ball and rolls forward, avoiding any high or mid-level attacks. If used close to the opponent, Chaos can pass through them.

Scapegoat (スケープゴート, Sukēpugōto?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Scapegoat
For the cost of 15% of his health, Chaos hops back as he creates a copy of himself in a random pose, which can take 1 hit before disappearing.

Curse (カース, Kāsu?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Curse
Chaos lobs a bright green ball with a black face in an arc at his opponent. If it connects, the opponent gets shrouded with green aura for 3 seconds, which increases the accuracy of At the Ready & Steady Aim.

Deus Ex Machina (デウス・エクス・マキナ, Deusu Ekusu Makina?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Deus Ex Machina
Chaos takes out a pair of pistols, then fires them into green portals to barrage the opponent from all angles for a total of 19 hits. Also reloads his gun afterwards.

If used in the corner, it causes an Area Shift.

Super Focus (超フォーカス, Chō Fōkasu?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Super Focus
Chaos claws at his hair for a second, then flashes green.

For the following 5 seconds, the Concentration gauge completely refills, and makes it deplete slower, allowing him to use his gun a lot more.
