Jack-O's Servants (サーヴァント, Sāvanto?) - originally known as Ghosts (ゴースト, Gōsuto?) - are a key mechanic of hers introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-.

GGXrd

By using Set a Ghost (ゴースト設置, Gōsuto Secchi?), Jack-O' spawns a small hut between her hands above her head and places it on the floor. A second later, a "Ghost" appears from the hut, advancing forwards to attack her opponent for a set amount of time.

After 8 hits, the hut levels up, altering the properties of each ghost - indicated by the material used to construct their weapons. The level for each hut caps off at 3.

In the Guilty Gear Xrd series, Jack-O' has 3 types of Ghost: Knights (ナイト, Naito?) (Punch), Lancers (ランサー, Ransā?) (Kick) & Magicians (マジシャン, Majishan?) (Slash). Jack-O' can only set one of each type at a time.

Knight

A mid-level flying, smiling servant holding a little sword that slashes the opponent up to 6 times before disappearing.

At level 1, the Knights wield mere wooden swords, dealing 10 points of damage per hit. At level 2, the sword gets upgraded to iron, dealing 15 damage. At level 3, Knights use golden swords that deal 20 damage.

Lancer

A frowning servant holding a little spear to jab the opponent's legs up to 6 times before disappearing.

At level 1, the Lancers wield mere wooden staves, dealing 10 points of damage per hit. At level 2, the stick gets upgraded to an iron spear, dealing up to 19 damage across 2 hits. At level 3, Lancers use golden swords that deal up to 36 damage across 4 hits.

Magician

A high-level flying, smiling servant holding a little staff that flings a black & green projectile the opponent if they're airborne up to 6 times before disappearing.

At level 1, the Magicians wield mere wooden staves. At level 2, the stick gets upgraded to an iron wand with a crystal ball atop it. At level 3, Magicians use golden wands with bright stars atop them.

Unlike the Knights & Lancers, all of the Magicians' attacks deal 10 points of damage per hit regardless of level.

While they're active, Jack-O' can pick up a hut - moving around with it above her head, and set it back down. She can also throw the hut at her opponent in an arc, and put the hut away for safekeeping, retaining its current level.

Additionally, each hut has its own health bar - if it depletes, Jack-O' will need to set it again, and the level the respective hut was at before will be reset to level 1.

GGST

Instead of having 3 different types, Jack-O's reimagined Servants all wield lollipops (in place of swords) and shields numbered 1 - 3. Holding the Punch button during Summon Servant (サーヴァント召喚, Sāvanto Shōkan?) has Jack-O' keep the currently spawned Servant held above her head.

While they're on the field, Jack-O' can attack her Servants to knock them into her opponent, dealing damage. However, if a Servant gets hit by an opponent, they will immediately disappear, though no Servant gauge will be taken as a penalty.

Like in the last entries, Jack-O' can pick up & put down active Servants, as well as throw them and use Recover to safely make any and all Servants in play return to their leader.

Rather than having huts where Servants spawn from, Jack-O' has a special Servant gauge that dictates what she's able to do with her Servants - using 1 bar of this meter lets Jack-O' spawn a Servant, though this counts as "grey meter", meaning that has not been fully expended - using either Attack Command, Defend Command or Countdown uses 1 full stock.

While Recover uses Servant meter, it is immediately recovered if a Servant is in play, and recovers any grey meter spent from spawning other Servants.

If Jack-O' has at least 10 points (10%) Tension in her gauge, her Dust attacks will boosted, though this excludes the Dust version of Calvados.

The following attacks are able to be boosted with Tension:

Elysion Driver (エリシオンドライバー, Erishion Doraibā?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Jack-O' hops forward while holding the ball-end of her ball-and-chain. If she's close enough to her opponent, the ball wraps around her opponent and turns into a headless iron maiden - showing the opponent's head. Jack-O' then lifts up the device while jumping and turns over while airborne, slamming the opponent down with a Death Valley Driver.

If she has >10 points of Tension in her gauge, the distance she travels for the grab is slightly longer.

Hunger of Dopros (ドプロスの飢え, Dopurosu no Ue?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Originally localised as Hunger of Dopoulos.

Jack-O' swings the ball end of her ball-and-chain overhead. If it connects with her opponent, it catches them in its mouth, then faces itself profile while Jack-O' rests her arm on the top of it. After that, the ball spits the opponent back out, launching them across the screen.

If Jack-O has >10 points of Tension in her gauge, she has a second to aim the ball in any direction, or activate the spitting part early by pressing Dust while holding the direction the ball is facing.

Remove the Chain of Chiron (キロンの鎖を解く, Kiron no Kusari o Toku?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Jack-O' uses the ball end of her ball-and-chain to spit out a black & green projectile diagonally downwards, briefly burning her opponent on contact while nudging them back.

If she has >10 points of Tension in her gauge, she is able to fire three shots at once.

Zest (ゼスト, Zesuto?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

When used on the ground, Jack-O' spins upwards with her arms crossed, shrouded by green energy. If it connects with her opponent, it hits up to 2 times while launching them.

When used in the air, Jack-O' dives diagonally downward, also shrouded by green energy. If this version connects with her opponent, it causes a mild ground bounce that knocks the opponent back - and creates a bigger bounce if it connects on an aerial opponent.

Unlike Elysion Driver, Hunger of Dopros & Remove the Chain of Chiron, the only major change Zest has when she has >10 points of Tension is that its startup time is faster - the damage is not affected.

Organ Deployment (オルガン展開, Orugan Tenkai?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-, and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Jack-O' creates a hologram of organ keys in an arc around her, which she plays random notes on. While in this stance, Jack-O' is unable to move, and can exit out of the stance by pressing Dust. With the organ out, she has access to the following moves:
  • Recover All Ghosts (ゴースト全回収, Gōsuto Zen Kaishū?) - Jack-O' instantly recovers all of her deployed Ghost huts. 15 second cooldown.
  • Clock Up (クロックアップ, Kurokku Appu?) - Jack-O' shrouds all of her ghosts and their huts with a red aura for 8 seconds, which increases the speed of their attacks, and how quickly they level up. 18 second cooldown.
  • Explode (爆発, Bakuhatsu?) - Jack-O' makes all deployed ghosts & huts explode within a 3 second timer. As well as the opponent, Jack-O' can be hurt by the explosion(s). 10 second cooldown.
  • Aegis Field (アイギスフィールド, Aigisu Fīrudo?) - Jack-O' creates a spherical barrier around her for 5 seconds that absorbs all projectiles, including Overdrive Attacks. 23 second cooldown.

Servant Shoot (サーヴァントシュート, Sāvanto Shūto?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Jack-O' swings her rear leg around for an uncoordinated, mid-level roundhouse kick. If it connects with her opponent, they get knocked to the back end of the screen.

Though as the name suggests, Jack-O' can use Servant Shoot to launch active Servants towards her opponent, leaving the Servant(s) close to her target; if multiple Servants are in play, Servant Shoot can knock one Servant into the other.

Jack-O's Commands (指示, Shiji?) for her Servants were first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

By expending 1/3 of Servant meter, Jack-O' orders all of her currently active Servants do one of the following actions:
  • Recover (回収, Kaishū?) - Jack-O' blows a whistle to make all active Servants disappear. Refills grey Servant meter.
  • Attack Command (攻撃指示, Kōgeki Shiji?) - Jack-O' claps her hands to make all of her active Servants swing their lollipops horizontally while shifting towards the opponent, launching them on contact.
  • Defend Command (防御指示, Bōgyo Shiji?) - Jack-O' crosses her arms defensively, making all of her active Servants create a spherical barrier around them. If the opponent hits the barrier, the Servant knocks them away, spinning them out.
  • Countdown (カウントダウン, Kauntodaun?) - Jack-O' snaps her fingers, putting a 3-second timer on all of her active Servants, making them explode. If it hits the opponent - or Jack-O', they get launched high.

Forever Elysion Driver (フォーエヴァーエリシオンドライバー, Fōevā Erishion Doraibā?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-.

Jack-O' hops forward as if going for her regular Elysion Driver. If she's close enough to her opponent, she enacts Elysion Driver as normal - however, she rapidly spins up to the top of the map, then drops down like a meteorite, crashing back down to the floor with the opponent getting launched up-and-back upon impact.

In Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, if used in the corner, Forever Elysion Driver causes an Area Shift.

Calvados (カルヴァドス, Karuvadosu?, lit. Applejack (In French.)) was first introduced in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-, and last seen in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Unlike her sister's original version, Jack-O' jumps up into the air, then spikes her ball-and-chain diagonally down like a volleyball, which erupts into a large pillar of green energy when it hits the ground. If it hits the opponent, they get launched up.

The Burst version deals more damage.

Cheer Servant On (サーヴァントを激励する, Sāvanto wo Gekirei suru?) was first introduced in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Jack-O' holds up a flag while blowing a whistle to cheer her Servants on. This has one of two effects:
  • The Slash version, indicated by a blue flag, makes all of her active Servants put a helmet on, allowing them to withstand any damage taken for 5 seconds.
  • The Heavy Slash version, indicated by a red flag, rapidly refills Jack-O's Servant gauge, allowing her to infinitely use her Servant Commands for 3 seconds.

I Want Out (アイウォントアウト, Ai U~onto Auto?) is Jack-O's first and only Instant Kill, first appearing in Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and last appearing in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Jack-O' starts by using a stationary version of her standing Heavy Slash. If it connects, Jack-O's Ghosts beat up her opponent and ties them to a catapult, while 3 more help toss their boss up into the air with increasing height; on the final throw, Jack-O' is launched into space, her mask taking on a more serious face as she creates wings of light behind her, then readies herself for a devastatingly powerful dive kick to her poor foe's face - making a gigantic pillar of red energy burst up and beyond the stratosphere.
