Heaven is a recurring location in the Guilty Gear series, appearing as Justice's stage since the original Guilty Gear.

Design

Heaven is the final boss stage of Guilty Gear. It features a large stairway leading to a gateway with a broken door. The stairs are draped in red and golden carpet, and heavily engraved pillars and archways flank the path on either. The sky is cloudy, with a bright light emanating from above. Large crystals float beside the archways, with creatures seemingly imprisoned inside them; due to the nature of the stage and its respective fighter, these may be powerful inactive Gears, and their crystals may be manifestations of their dimensional prisons.[source needed]

Guilty Gear X features the exact same stage with updated graphics.

In Guilty Gear XX, the stage is a state of disrepair, with the archways ruined and its broken pieces scattered around the now-dusty carpet. A stone statue of a monstrous creature, previously trapped within a now-missing crystal, can be seen standing on the ground. The heavenly light and cloudy skies remain, but now have a distinct reddish tint.
