2cave
2cave is a non-playable character in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, appearing in After Story B. He is a member of the Assassin's Guild sent to test if Venom can live a normal life.
Design
2cave is an average man with short hair and a beard. He wears a long military style coat not dissimilar in style to Venom's suit with a red tie, golden skulls on the arms, and gold buttons on the coat. He wears a distinct pair of sunglasses.
Personality
2cave appears to be a calm and dedicated assassin, following Zato-ONE's orders even through the terror of approaching Venom. He is a good actor, capable of masking his fear to play the role given to him.[1]
Story
In After Story B, 2cave and 2 other assassins go to meet up with Venom, currently in an alleyway acting as a vendor doing odd jobs to earn money for Robo-Ky's new body after the events of Rev 2. As they talk, 2cave demands a shoeshine from Venom and asks him if he is going to either protect the town or return to the "wolves" of the guild, holding an old man hostage to force him to choose. Venom chooses to protect the town, and thus 2cave hands him a gift from Zato-ONE, revealing he was sent by Zato to test Venom's resolve for his new life.
After he leaves, Robo-Ky reveals 2cave and his group where terrified to approach Venom, "worried about (him) snapping and killing them all."
Allusions
- 2cave bears a resemblance to French actor Jean Reno, who portrayed an assassin in the film Léon: the Professional.
