Story

Background

Erica grew up in an orphanage, with the director of the orphanage practically being her foster mother.

As a teenager, she was elected president of the United States of America, becoming the country's 75th president as well as its first female president.[2] However, her inauguration was manipulated by the Assassin's Guild, who intended to assassinate her in order to prevent her from breaking the organization's control on the United States.[3]

Guilty Gear X the Butterfly and Her Gale

In 2182, Erica is attacked by assassins shortly after her inauguration, but saved by Chipp Zanuff. When he learns that she's being targeted due to her intentions to form an alliance with Zepp and break the hold of the Assassin's Guild on the United States government, he agrees to act as her bodyguard and protect her from further assassination attempts until she's able to achieve her goal. With Chipp's help, she's able to pass a law in Congress to eradicate the drug trade in the US and sever the Assassin's Guild's ties to the government. During this time, Erica teaches Chipp about the responsibilities of a president.[2]

Guilty Gear Xrd

Erica wins a second term with overwhelming support, but is forced to resign to recuperate from an illness or injury[note 1] she developed while in office. Her vice president, Colin Vernon, succeeds her, becoming the 76th president of the United States.
