Dodomezaki is a minor character appearing in the Guilty Gear series. He is one of May's aquatic friends, who is currently undergoing training under Chipp's tutelage.

Design

Dodomezaki is an otter with mostly brown fur, a cream-white belly, and a four-pronged star mark on the forehead, similar to a shuriken. His only attire is a gauntlet blade—the same as Chipp's—and a red scarf.

Story

Dodomezaki begins studying under Chipp's tutelage in order to become strong enough to act as a bodyguard for May. Chipp claims that Dodomezaki has potential just like May, but says he must slowly and surely hone his capabilities in order to protect her. The three of them train together for a short while. Dodomezaki gives it everything he has in their subsequent duels, in order to prove to May and Chipp that he is strong enough.

Allusions

• Dodomezaki's ninja training in Strive may be loosely based on the Kamaitachi, a creature of Japanese folklore. They ride dust devils and cut people using the nails on their hands that are like sickles.
